Spirit of GA The Office of the General Assembly, headed by the Stated Clerk, is the ecclesiastical arm of the church.

The Stated Clerk and her staff work to ensure that the Presbyterian Church maintains itself as a church. Every two years, Presbyterians join together to discern the mind of Christ for the body that is the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The next assembly, the 227th General Assembly, is scheduled to take place June 23-July 2, 2026 in Milwaukee, WI. It’s a weighty assignment, but one that is guided by

the Holy Spirit. For specifics on how the work gets done, visit http://pcusa.org/generalassembly. And, keep in mind that the gathering also is packed full of worship, fellowship, food, and fun.

These sessions are open to all, but you must register in advance to receive the Zoom link. (The sessions will also be recorded.)

The Reformed Identity Around the World Committee of the 227th General Assembly (2026) will meet online June 22-24 to consider three overtures stemming from the March 2025 closure of Presbyterian World Mission. The committee will take up RIW-01 and RIW-02 — both from the Presbytery of the Cascades — alongside RIW-07 from the Presbytery of Philadelphia.
