Spirit of GA

Spirit of GA The Office of the General Assembly, headed by the Stated Clerk, is the ecclesiastical arm of the church.

The Stated Clerk and her staff work to ensure that the Presbyterian Church maintains itself as a church. Every two years, Presbyterians join together to discern the mind of Christ for the body that is the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The next assembly, the 227th General Assembly, is scheduled to take place June 23-July 2, 2026 in Milwaukee, WI. It’s a weighty assignment, but one that is guided by

the Holy Spirit. For specifics on how the work gets done, visit http://pcusa.org/generalassembly. And, keep in mind that the gathering also is packed full of worship, fellowship, food, and fun.

Kris and I had orientation in Louisville a few weeks ago- a lot to take in and wonderful people to get to know or get to know better. The best part was asking our colleagues in ministry “How can we pray for you?” The Spirit is moving among us all.
