If you answered yes to any of these questions, the 1001 Discerning Missional Leadership (DML) Assessment may be your next step.

Limited spaces are still available for our upcoming DML, taking place May 18–22 in Sterling, VA (near Washington Dulles Airport).

This DML offers three language tracks: English, Spanish, and Korean. Participants will engage key portions of the assessment in their own language and cultural context. With the support of PC(USA) Global Language Resources, all three groups will also come together for shared worship and selected sessions.

Exploring Missional Leadership (EML) is a free event led by 1001 New Worshiping Communities. It features presentations, active learning, and group discussions, introducing participants to entrepreneurial ministries and the necessary competencies. Join us and learn how to identify and cultivate potential new leaders and innovators within your congregation, and discern if that new leader may even be you!

Who is the EML For?
Pastors, ruling elders, and other church leaders seeking to foster innovation in their congregations.
Individuals discerning a potential call to start a new worshiping community or other new ministry.
Mid council staff and leaders, including members of commissions and committees supporting innovative ministries, transformation, ministry, and leaders.

Exploring Missional Leadership is offered free of charge by Presbyterian Life & Witness in partnership with Pittsburgh Presbytery.

Blessed are we who scatter seed into uncertain soil,
who labor without guarantees.
Blessed are we who trust God with tomorrow,
and keep sowing anyway.

Scatter hope even when the ground looks barren.
