✨ Save the date (August 5-8, 2027 in Louisville), share the date in your PW newsletters, and download and share a save-the-date card with PW friends (https://ow.ly/zKiS50ZIm5f).

✨ Promote the Churchwide Gathering in your groups and consider planning a road trip with longtime friends and those yet to know.

✨ Pray for Presbyterian Women, PW community, and for all who make the Gathering possible (planners, promoters, participants, and patrons)!

When Christians are discerning which actions to take, we should consider the power dynamics involved. I might ask myself, whom might my various possible courses of action affect, and how? Am I in danger of exploiting someone without realizing it? What are my options? If none of them is purely harmless, which is the least harmful? Have I fallen into habits that I now feel called to change, since I’ve become more aware of the power dynamics involved.

Whom can I ask to help me sort through these questions? Who might help me pray for guidance?

You and I still need each other, fellow members of the body of Christ, to help us discern how to live lives that reflect Christ’s saving, healing love.

For example, for current and recent Honorary Life Membership (https://www.presbyterianwomen.org/giving-funding/give/honorary-life-membership/) recipients, their pin is received in a little pouch handcrafted by Stitching Change of Kansas City (https://ow.ly/rGjU50ZImPE) with fabrics donated by Presbyterian Women for initially crafting the 2024 Churchwide Gathering tote bags! The remaining fabric given in love then continues to bring love to the honoree and to the artisans of Stitching Change and to the earth through making good use of beautiful fabrics.

In years past, pouches were received from Partners for Just Trade, which worked with artisans around the world, including Peru where the multicolor manta bags were handcrafted, and the Nepal Leprosy Trust, as coordinated by Silk Road Fair Trade Market (https://ow.ly/yLr550ZImPF), an Enough for Everyone marketplace vendor at the 2024 Churchwide Gathering.
