In 1825 a group of farmers requested permission form Lord Charles Somerset, the Governor of the Cape Colony at the time, to build their own church. The building of a Du

tch Reformed Church commenced in 1825 and it was inaugurated on 6 August 1826. Today All Saints is a thriving and diverse community, reflecting the demographics of our City and Province. The Parish Roll includes about 1800 individuals, of whom about 400 are pledging members. All saints seeks to express its diversity by including all three languages in our region—English, Afrikaans, isiXhosa—in our worship, and our music seeks to be inclusive, both traditional and contemporary. We seek to be welcoming and inclusive, eager to receive into our life all those who feel drawn to Christ, want to live Christ-like lives and proclaim the good news of Christ’s Gospel.

🔥 Come, Holy Spirit! 🔥

This Pentecost, we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit - bringing power, courage, unity, and new life to the Church. 🕊️❤️

“They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” - Acts 2:4

May the same Spirit fill our hearts afresh and send us out in faith and love.

Blessed Pentecost from All Saints Church, Durbanville ✨

✨ Ascension Day ✨

Today we celebrate the glorious Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ - risen, exalted, and seated at the right hand of the Father. As Christ ascended into heaven, He reminded us that His presence remains with us always through the Holy Spirit.

“So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of the Father.” -Mark 16:19

May this holy day strengthen our faith, lift our eyes toward heaven, and fill our hearts with hope and joy. 🤍

🌸💖 Happy Mother’s Day 💖🌸

Today we honour and celebrate the incredible mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and mother figures in our lives. Thank you for your endless love, faithful prayers, gentle strength, and the many sacrifices you make each day.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” -Proverbs 31:25 ✨

We also lovingly remember and honour mothers who have passed away. Though deeply missed, their love, wisdom, and legacy continue to live on in our hearts and in the lives they touched. 🕊️🤍

May God richly bless all mothers today and always. You are deeply appreciated and dearly loved. 🌷

With love from
All Saints Anglican Church Durbanville 🤍
