We want to thank all those who supported our Mad-Hatter High Tea focused on Mental held on Saturday, 16 March.
Every table's decor depicted just how different we are. From a doll-inspired set-up to your local mechanics lunch-time, to story book tea parties - this was all just another reminder how different we all are, yet, we are all focused towards one goal.
We want to thank our Family Counselor, who shared their experiences in their role of counselling, and the importance in confronting depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, and prioritizing self-care (which is not limited to pampering yourself, but includes your mental state).
We want to thank the Mental-Health survivor, who shared their experiences with childhood trauma, the struggle of marriage and facing Postpartum depression, career and financial stress, raising kids, and being falsely diagnosed with Schizophrenia.
We want to thank the witness to the Mental-Health survivor, who shared their experience being affected by his mother's mental state, how it impacted his outlook on trying to understand and relate to all people, how him and his family took action and created a strong support structure, and recognized the stigma men face about mental health.
We pray that the entire event created an awareness around Mental Health that encouraged people to open-up about their experiences, how they managed their circumstances and how to support other facing this vast array of mental conditions and aspects.
Get in contact (or ask on behalf of a friend), and DM us your experiences, and we will add it to our prayer requests to help you overcome your challenges.
