We loved how this Tygerberg Nature Reserve hike wasn’t just about getting active and chasing views, but also about doing life together as Young Adults, praying together, and growing together. Such a refreshing reminder that community can strengthen both your body and your faith at the same time.

It’s more than just a Sunday morning activity. ☕️🙌

Today, Sean continued our Rhythms series, focusing on Community. We dug deep into Acts 1 and the significance of Jesus’ Ascension.

If Jesus is currently ruling and reigning over the universe, why is the world still so broken? Sean unpacked the tension of the "already and the not yet," reminding us that the primary way the world sees God's invisible kingdom is through His visible community. 🌍✨

We loved hearing from John and Glory about how they’ve found genuine connection and belonging at PVC—from seniors' coffee mornings to community groups. 🤝

Throwback to last Saturday as our Senior ladies and gents got together at our Seniors' Autumn Table Braai Lunch. Laughter echoed around the room as our senior friends gathered over delicious braaied meat, salads, scrumptious dessert and coffee, sharing stories and memories.

Moments like these truly show the heart of our senior community: togetherness, kindness, and the simple joy of being in each other’s company. Thank you for the servant hearts of our Protea Valley Church Youth, Teens, Young Adults, Grace in Action Community Group and Care Team who served our Seniors so beautifully! Our Senior friends certainly enjoyed their company and we couldn't have done this without you.

"The heavens declare the glory of God..." 🛰️☀️

This morning at Protea Valley Church, Paul introduced us to the first rhythm of our new teaching series: Worship. We often get distracted by the "creations of man" in our city life, but Paul reminds us through Psalm 19 that we are called to join the chorus of all creation in praising the Maker of heaven and earth.

Worship isn't just about what happens during a service—it’s about how we worship with our minds, our bodies, our wallets, and our daily task lists. If our Sunday worship doesn't transform our "secular" Monday through Saturday, we are missing the call!

Are you ready to let the Word of God refresh your soul and give light to your eyes? 💡

"Hunger is not a preference. Hunger is: I need this, or I’m not okay." 🥖✨

Today, Paul shared a powerful word on John 6, challenging us to look at what we are truly feeding on. We fill our lives with achievement, approval, and comfort, yet we often walk away feeling empty.

Jesus doesn't just offer us an "upgrade" to our lives—He offers Himself as the essential "Bread of Life." As Paul reminded us, smelling the bread doesn't feed you. Admiring Jesus isn't the same as receiving Him. 🙌

Are you feeding on things that perish, or the One who endures to eternal life?

We worship and serve a God that at great cost to Himself comes to find us.

He is not restricted or limited by our disappointment, disbelief, and bad attitude, even our bad theology.

He graciously meets us where we are
But thankfully doesn’t leave us there.

And sometimes He works in spectacular ways, but often He is operating in the ordinary.

And Communion is such a great example of something ordinary, that can be profound!

In Sunday's message, we looked at the disciples on the road to Emmaus. They were discouraged and ready to give up, but Jesus stepped in to walk right beside them. He didn’t wait for them to find Him—He came to find them.

Let this be a reminder that Jesus is operating in your boardroom meetings, your classrooms, and around your dinner table. He is in the ordinary.

Watch the full service from Sunday and ask yourself the question "Where has Jesus been working in and around me, in my ordinary life?"

Jesus Meets Us in the Ordinary ✨

Have you ever felt like your expectations didn’t line up with reality? You’re not alone.

In today’s message, we look at the disciples on the road to Emmaus. They were discouraged and ready to give up, but Jesus stepped in to walk right beside them. He didn’t wait for them to find Him—He came to find them.

We explore:
🚶‍♂️ The Road: Moving away from our problems.
📖 The Rebuke: Realigning our hearts with truth.
🥖 The Reveal: Recognizing Him in the simple act of breaking bread.
🙌 The Response: The burning passion that sends us back into community.

Let this be a reminder that Jesus is operating in your boardroom meetings, your classrooms, and around your dinner table. He is in the ordinary.
