We welcome you in Jesus name to worship with us at our 11:00 AM Sunday Eucharist as we celebrate the Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost. Associate Pastor Robert Alan Shivers preaches “Holy Worship: Bel Like Little Children” (Matthew 18:1-20). The color of the day is green, which signifies growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. You may wear green to worship.
From the console of our 47 rank Austin pipe organ with trompette-en-chamade, Bill Glisson, Director of Music, leads the assembly in the singing of joyous hymns:
“Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” (Entrance)
“The Law of God Is Good and Wise” (Hymn of the Day)
“Lord of All Hopefulness” (Recessional)
Sunday distribution hymns:
“I Lay My Sins on Jesus”
“Oh That the Lord Would Guide My Ways”
“Come, Let Us Eat”
Special music for the weekend: For the prelude, Bill Glisson (organ) plays: “The Law of God Is Good and Wise” (Osterland); Bettsy Curtis (piano) plays, “Sweet, Sweet Spirit/Spirit of God” (Bock/Smith) at the offering; Bill plays “A Trumpet Tune” (Wold) at the postlude.
