11/16/2022

Last night our team had the privilege of supporting in their annual “Friendsgiving”! We were blown away by the generosity of our church as so many stepped up to cook, bake, serve, clean, and host hundreds of college students for a Thanksgiving meal. The night ended with an acoustic worship set in the round supported by a simple truss rig containing a new conventional pars and Edison string lights cascading over the set which took place in the round. Thanks to our team who captured the night and who stayed late to help cleanup and prepare for Sunday!

Last night felt like a dream come true- all of our Campuses gathered under one roof to worship together as one church. We were led by worship leaders from all three campuses as we joined together to pray for one another, to raise our voices, and to take communion together. We’re so thankful for our team who served behind the scenes again- not just in technical positions but by jumping in to help welcome people and serve communion. We’re so thankful to have a team ready and willing to help out in any way our church needs!

This past Sunday was so encouraging as we heard from our friends Todd and Julie Talerico while they shared about their journey to get more deeply connected at our church. Mike also kicked off our dive into the first of the 3 Reach focuses - Connection!

Last night was amazing! Our good friend kicked off a new series called “God is ______?” and students enjoyed an insane number of insomnia cookies on their way into the gathering! Though we had a few livestream challenges, our team led so well from behind consoles and cameras to interactions and conversations with students. We also had a few new friends join us! If you’re interested in getting plugged into the community at overflow or want to serve on our team at overflow, shoot us a DM… We’d love to get you connected!

Meet the interns! We’re so excited to have another group of college students joining us to learn, grow, and lead this year through our internship program. Hopefully by now you’ve met some of them, but if you haven’t, we encourage you to! These servant leaders are passionate about the church and our team, and we can’t wait to see what this year holds for them.

This morning we wrapped up our series “REACH” and set up our focus for the fall - Care, Connection, and Goodness. We also celebrated Kelsie and Elena Grace as they took steps in their faith as they made public declarations through Baptism! Our team is so grateful for everyone who came this AM to serve!

Last night our friends held their Fall Kickoff and it was so good to gather together once again on a Tuesday night with our college students and leaders! We got to pray for our Tuesday Production interns and join together with the OVF team to host and make an environment for college students to feel at home. If you’re a college student interested in getting involved, we’d love to have you join our team!

FALL KICKOFF + INTERNS + BAPTISMS + REACH | This morning we welcomed back college students, prayed for our new interns, and celebrated the baptisms of our friends Caulin & Sam as we kicked off the fall with a new series called “REACH”!

It’s been a great morning gathered together as we celebrate the close of our “Summer Sabbath” season and as we join together to Stuff the Bus and support students in our community via . We’re so thankful for our team who got up early, dove in headfirst, and served our church this morning.

FUSE 2022 | Every summer our team has the privilege of joining forces with our Student Ministry team for our summer camp . This year we did 2 weeks - one with middle schoolers and one with high schoolers. These weeks are full - load in and load outs, numerous rehearsals, sound checks and meetings, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. To watch our students bring energy, sing their hearts out, rally around each other and give their lives to the Lord is nothing short of an honor. We’re so thankful to the volunteers who come to Camp and work hard with little sleep and rough food, for the Sunday volunteers who step up and make church happen in the midst of the camp season, as well as our church for trusting us with these week long gatherings every year. We’re counting down the days till FUSE23!

Concept —> Reality

As we prepared for this past Sunday, a few challenges presented themselves - one in particular (no drummers available) pushed us to step back and think outside the box. We landed on a compact stage layout, warm lighting looks, Edison bulbs, and a more laid back worship set. Here are the original rough sketches and a few photos from the 11a.

Last Overflow of the semester had us like ☝️☝️☝️
Last night at Overflow was amazingly powerful. .worship fully surrendered themselves while leading, we witnessed two incredible baptisms, and participated in communion. It was truly the best way to end the semester.
A big shout out to everyone who served with production during the past two semesters of Overflow. Without our dedicated staff, intern team, and volunteers, none of this would have been possible. Each of you has left an imprint on our team, and we are so grateful for all you do. We are excited for what’s to come as we continue our walk together in our calling to servanthood. See you in June for OVF summer!
