“The pulpit of this day is weak in praying. The pride of learning is against the dependent humility of prayer.

Prayer is with the pulpit too often only official-a performance for the routine of
service.

Prayer is not to the modern pulpit the mighty force it was in Paul’s life or Paul’s
ministry. Every preacher who does not make prayer a mighty factor in his own life and ministry is weak as a factor in God’s work and is powerless to project God’s cause in this world.” E.M. Bounds

Well done, FBC Leland.

Introducing our new Senior Pastor, Dr. Dusty Smith.

“Hope delayed makes the heart sick…” Proverbs 13:12

MISSION TRIP REPORT: Two Teams, Two Countries, One Mission

Last week, Kure Beach First Baptist Church had the incredible privilege of serving alongside brothers and sisters in Christ in two very different corners of God's kingdom.

Jamaica (Caribbean): Tim Lamb joined a team providing hurricane relief, bringing hope and restoration to communities still recovering from devastating storms.

Jamaica Queens (NYC): Pastor Andrew Matthews, Jon & Sadie Irish, Pat Smith, and Rob Johnson participated in the annual Coats for the City outreach, joining 250+ volunteers from 29 NC Baptist churches to distribute over 8,000 coats to families and individuals living at or below the poverty line.

We're humbled to be part of something so much bigger than ourselves. As one NYC church planter said, these partnerships show "we are not alone" – that we have brothers and sisters praying for us and working alongside us.

This wasn't just about coats or construction materials. It was about building relationships, showing Christ's love in practical ways, and opening doors for gospel conversations with people from all over the world.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers who gave their time, energy, and hearts. Thank you to our church family for your prayers and support. And most of all, thank You, Jesus, for the privilege of being Your hands and feet.

"Building relationships is key to the gospel. It's key to discipleship. It's key to people's salvation. Until they know they're cared for and loved and seen, many times they won't hear the message."
