Giving Generously is the practice of giving financially to the work of the local church. At Live Oak, we encourage people to give a percentage of their income as an act of trust, worship, and gratitude to God.

Scripture teaches us to give willingly and joyfully, not out of guilt or pressure, trusting that God is our provider. When we give, we help support the work of the church and position ourselves to see God's provision in our own lives.

Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and a symbol of the new life we have through His death and resurrection. While baptism does not save us, it is the first step of obedience for those who have trusted in Jesus as Lord and Savior. If you've placed your faith in Christ and have never been baptized, we encourage you to take this important step and share your story of God's grace with our church family.

Ready to be baptized? We'd love to walk with you through the process. To get started, email Heather at [email protected] to schedule a meeting with Pastor Brian and begin preparing your testimony to share on your baptism day.

Two Ditches people get stuck in when trying to follow the Holy Spirit are:

1. Praying and waiting for God to tell you exactly what to do before you take any steps.
2. Moving ahead without praying or paying attention to God's guidance.

A Better Way is to Pray As You Go because God usually reveals the way in the process of Following Him.

At Live Oak, we teach people to pray for opportunities to share this Good News with people who are lost and searching for life, in a relational way that is "gentle and respectful." (1 Peter 3:15), and most importantly, to live attractively to people who don't know Jesus.

We can't keep this kind of news to ourselves, we are called to share it with everyone we know!

Yesterday we heard from Acts 15 where we asked the questions "is it possible to be friends with someone you disagree with?" and "how do we preserve the bond of unity in conflict?"

Paul and Barnabas faced a sharp disagreement while on their 2nd missionary journey, which caused them to split and go separate ways.

Even so, we know they eventually reconciled. God takes broken situations and makes them masterpieces, and He used this disagreement to spread the Gospel even further. This passage reminds us that while conflict is inevitable, our responsibility is to work toward peace in our relationships and do our best to live peacefully with all people.

Worshiping Alone is the practice of spending time with God on your own through things like Scripture, prayer, rest, and solitude.

These rhythms don't have power in themselves, but they connect us to God's presence, where He shapes our character and grows our faith. It's a partnership. We make time, and God works in us.

Make it a daily habit. It's how your soul stays nourished throughout the week!
