Today, the Church rejoices at the morning star of our hope โ€” the birth of Mary, the humble handmaid of the Lord, the Mother of Jesus, and our beloved Mother.

Before the world heard her fiat, God had already prepared her heart.
Before she held the Saviour in her arms, she was held in the loving plan of God.

In Mary, we glimpse the beauty of a heart completely open to God โ€” humble enough to listen, courageous enough to surrender, and faithful enough to follow wherever He leads.

Her birth was a quiet beginning, yet through her, the Light of Christ would one day enter the world.

2. Embracing the Daily Cross
Taking up our cross is not about passive suffering, but about choosing sacrificial love even when it is demanding. How can you carry your daily struggles and duties not with resentment, but as intentional acts of faith and service for others?

Lord Jesus Christ, You walked the way of the Cross with steadfast love and complete trust in the Father. Grant us the grace to deny our selfish desires and the courage to take up our daily crosses without bitterness or fear. Help us to remember that true life is found not in clinging to our own ways, but in losing ourselves for Your sake. Guide our steps each day so that in following You, we may become instruments of Your healing, peace, and sacrificial love in the world. Amen.
