Today, we celebrate the birth of our Blessed Mother, Mary — the woman who would one day say “yes” to God and become the Mother of our Lord Jesus.

Her life reminds us that God often begins something beautiful in ways that seem small and ordinary. May we learn from Mary to trust in God, listen for His voice, and say “yes” to Him in the little things each day.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us. 🙏🏻

Assumption Day commemorates the Church’s belief that, after her death, the Blessed Virgin Mary was assumed body and soul into heaven. It celebrates Mary’s unique role in God’s plan of salvation and is a sign of sure hope for the eternal life promised to those who follow Christ.

This weekend, we celebrate the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.

Chosen by Pope Leo XIV, this year's theme, "I Will Never Forget You" (Isaiah 49:15), reminds us that every grandparent and elderly person is seen, cherished and never forgotten.

We invited a few grandchildren to share their favourite memories and heartfelt messages for their grandparents.

May we take a moment this weekend to call, visit or pray with our grandparents and the elderly, reminding them how deeply they are loved.
