Pastor Eugene wrapped up our sermon series on the seven letters from Jesus in Revelation 1-3 this Sunday. He expounded on the letter to the church of Laodicea from Rev 3:14-22 -- a church that was in danger because it was spiritually "lukewarm" or useless.

How would the Lord speak to us today about our spiritual condition? Let us continue to seek the humility to heed His warnings and repent before He comes to bring His reckoning.

As we continue to study the letters to the seven churches from Revelation 1-3, we turn to the encouragement given to the church in Philadelphia. "Are We Keeping Jesus' Word?" we considered today in worship.

Pastor Eugene encouraged us from Scripture to pursue patient endurance and a counter-worldly view of strength, success and status.

We had a lovely national day public holiday picnic at Fort Canning as we usually do -- a great time of bonding, fun and play as a congregation.

This past Sunday, we heard Jesus’ words to the church in Thyatira. These are sobering words and cause us to consider our own purity, and to hold fast to His words.

We also held our first Church Plant Prayer that afternoon. Members came together to pray for our church, our plans for the plant, Singapore and even the nations. As Pastor Ryan reminded us from Psalm 127:1, unless the LORD builds the house, the labourers labour in vain. Let us continue to keep this endeavor in prayer!

Our joy to have Pastor Jason Berrus from Immanuel Church of Orange County with us this Sunday to bring God's Word from Proverbs.

His wife, Beverly Berrus was our women's workshop speaker this weekend as around 100 women gathered to think about the topic of sanctification.

We were encouraged by Pastor Jason to get wisdom, and to stay on the path of wisdom which leads to eternal life. May God be glorified through His Word.

This morning, Pastor Eugene preached on the letter to the church at Ephesus from Revelation 2:1-7. They were a church that kept the truth, yet had abandoned the love they had at first. Jesus called them to remember from where they had fallen and repent.
