At GNBC’s third Prayer Service of the year, we heard the final message from John 5:1–13, where Jesus Christ healed a man who had been unable to walk for 38 years.

Throughout this three-part series, we were reminded that God works in His perfect time, by His grace, and through His Word. May this message encourage you to continue praying according to God's Word, trusting in His wisdom, power, and faithfulness.

The Christian life is not difficult because we don’t know what to do. It is difficult because what God asks of us often goes against our natural instincts.

When problems arise, decisions weigh on us, or we find ourselves at life’s crossroads, God calls us to:

What are you building your life on?

Earthly success, possessions, and comfort may seem secure, but they will eventually fade. A life surrendered to God’s Kingdom, however, is built to last.

Last Sunday, we were blessed to hear God’s Word through our intern, Samuel Kou from the Baptist Theological Seminary.

Samuel preached from Philippians 3:12–16 on the message, “ONE THING: Don’t Just Look Forward, Move Forward!” Through this passage, we were reminded that following Christ is not about standing still or simply waiting for what is ahead. It is a call to keep pressing on, to grow in faith, and to take each step with our eyes fixed on the Lord.

May this sermon encourage you to keep moving forward in your walk with Christ, trusting Him for the strength, grace, and hope needed for each day.

Last Sunday, we were glad to welcome Pastor Annie Tan back to our pulpit. Many in our church family will know Pastor Annie from her times of ministry among us, and we are thankful for the encouragement and blessing she has brought to us over the years.

Preaching from 2 Timothy 2:1–4, Pastor Annie shared a message titled “Praying Beyond Our Needs.” Her sermon drew us back to God’s Word and reminded us of His heart for outreach and evangelism. We were encouraged to see prayer not only as bringing our own needs before the Lord, but also as joining Him in His love for His people, His purposes, and His work in the world.

Last Sunday, Good News Baptist Church celebrated 38 years of God's faithfulness. We thank the Lord for His unwavering love and for the privilege of journeying and growing together as His people.

Rev. Hon Chin Foang, Senior Lead Pastor of the church, delivered a special anniversary message based on John 5:1–17, where Jesus meets and transforms a man who had lived in the same condition for 38 years. As we reflected on this remarkable account, we were reminded that Christ is still at work today—bringing hope, renewal, and transformation to all who come to Him.

The message encouraged us to open our hearts to His continuing work in our lives, allowing Him to build us to last as His church and His people.

Last Sunday, we were delighted to welcome Brother Peter Tang as our guest speaker at GNBC for our Father’s Day service.

He shared a sermon titled “The Fatherhood Legacy”, based on Genesis 22:1–20.

Through the story of Abraham, whom God established as the father of many nations, we were reminded of the important calling of fatherhood — to nurture, guide, and raise our children to know, trust, and follow God.
