🧁🍰 Bake your way to a better world!

Calling all bakers! Why not Step Up with your favourite recipes and turn your baking skills into a fundraiser? Host a cake sale, bake-off or afternoon tea with your church, family, friends or community. πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

You could even challenge yourself to bake something new each week or sell your signature bakes for donations. Every slice can help support WDR partners tackling poverty and creating opportunities around the world. πŸŒπŸ’›

We were pleased to join Christian Aid Ireland to celebrate the opening of their new office in Belfast! πŸŽ‰

It was a great opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues, and to celebrate the shared mission that brings our organisations together - working for a fairer world where everyone can thrive!

Christian Aid Ireland is our sister agency, and we’re proud to co-fund our partner CASM in Honduras alongside them. It’s a reminder of the difference we can make when we work together in solidarity with communities around the world.

πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅ Nepal Floods Response

In light of the devastating floods in Nepal, WDR has provided an immediate emergency grant of Β£3,000 (€3,500) to our partner, Kopila Nepal based in Pokhara.

NGOs in the country are being asked to help in whatever way they can. This emergency funding will enable Kopila to respond by providing counsellors and carers to local hospitals, supporting survivors and families who have lost loved ones.

Many Kopila staff are social workers and are well equipped to offer this expert care. In Bina Silwal's (Director of Kopila) words, Kopila staff are there to support those with "tearful eyes and painful hearts".

We are thankful that Kopila’s own work has not been directly impacted and that all their staff are safe.

It is your support that makes it possible for WDR to respond with financial assistance to our partners in times of great need. Thank you for standing with us and our global partners.

If you would like to support the wider relief effort, we would encourage you to donate through our sister agency, Christian Aid Ireland's Appeal: https://give.christianaid.ie/donate/cam-013106

πŸ™ Please pray for:
- Those who have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods
- Kopila’s counsellors and carers as they support survivors and families
- The safety and wellbeing of all those affected by the floods
