This coming Sunday our Service will be led by our minister Brian Ammons.

We will be taking a pause from the Out Beyond Ideas sermon series so we can reflect on the events this week in Belfast. At the beginning of the service we will light a candle for the victim of the attack on Monday, those displaced in the following days, all of our neighbours impacted by the fear the response has sparked.

Also, coming up on the 28 June, the Sunday service at First Church will be recorded to be broadcast on the BBC July 19, for a special service on the first Sunday of Pride Week.

In order to accommodate recording schedules and still highlight the gifts of our music program, the service that day will be held at 2:00 pm, instead of our regular 10:30 time.

A lovely and somewhat rare photograph of Bishop Pat Buckley, founder of the Oratory Society, without his clerical collar. Most photographs of Pat show him in the exercise of his ministry. This one captures something different: the man behind the mitre, relaxed, smiling, and enjoying the moment.
