Today was a beautiful reminder that serving Christ is not only about what we do, but about coming together in love, unity and faith. Serving our YP is a privilege, and I’m grateful for every young person who continues to walk this journey with us.

Young People Divine Service | 2 August 2026 ✨

On Sunday, 2 August 2026, our Young People from Wellington district gathered in Hillcrest Congregation in Wellington for a live audio-visual transmitted Young People Divine Service conducted by our District Apostle, Peter Lambert.

The divine service was based on Colossians 3:12 (NKJV):

“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, and longsuffering.”

We were reminded that, as God’s chosen people, we are called to reflect Christ through compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. This message beautifully echoed the spirit of , encouraging us to live our faith through acts of love and service each day.

Following the divine service, the young people enjoyed a blessed time of fellowship, strengthening friendships and celebrating the unity we share in Christ.

As part of our Dare2Care initiative, our Young People came together for Serving in Christ on 29 July 2026. Through acts of love, kindness, and service, we were reminded that faith is lived out by serving others and reflecting Christ's love in our communities.

📚❤️ Dare 2 Care in Action

Today, 26 July 2026, our Young People had the privilege of conducting Sunday School lessons as part of our Dare 2 Care initiative.

By sharing God's Word with the children, they demonstrated servant-hearted leadership, love, and a commitment to nurturing the next generation in faith.

*Serving and Me Self-Reflection Session 6A Reflecting and Becoming*

Serving and Me 6A Session was hosted at the Newton Congregation in Wellington on Monday, 20 July 2026, bringing together ministers from across the Wellington District, including District Rectors and Serving & Me facilitators from the Apostle Area.

The session, themed “Self-Reflection: Reflecting and becoming,” provided an opportunity for ministers to reflect on their personal journey in becoming more like Jesus.

District Elder Justin Brockman opened the session with prayer and heartily welcomed the participants.

The programme was facilitated by Priest Reuben Scheepers, who guided participants through a range of topics aimed at promoting personal growth and self-awareness. Through an interactive format, ministers actively engaged in meaningful discussions, shared experiences and reflected on the impact of their actions and attitudes within their respective congregations.

The session concluded with a closing prayer by District Rector, Joseph Bronckhorst from Durbanville District.

Thereafter, attendees enjoyed a time of fellowship, strengthening the bonds of unity and support among ministers within the district.

The evening served as a valuable reminder of the importance of personal reflection and the continuous yet intentional desire to become more like Jesus.

18 July 2026, our Young People in Wellington District came together to make a difference through our Outreach Initiative. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who gave of their time, donated, prayed, and served with willing hearts. Every bowl of soup, loaf of bread, smile, and conversation was a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting impact.

May we continue to be the hands and feet of Christ, serving our communities with love, compassion, and humility.
