🎓 Celebrating 21 Graduates in Zimbabwe!

Joyous Family Centre School of Ministry began its NBI journey in June 2021. Today, they celebrate many graduates who have completed their studies and are stepping forward with greater knowledge, confidence and a renewed passion to serve.

Through the combined CLDP and MDP programmes, students have strengthened their biblical foundation, developed practical ministry and leadership skills, and discovered that ministry is not only for clergy, as every believer has a role to play.

One facilitator, Rev. Lindani Dube, completed the programme himself to assess its theological soundness and relevance. His verdict? Excellent in all respects.

The impact is already reaching beyond the classroom. As Engineer Dr. Farai-Mavhiya Bhiza shared: “We feel greatly empowered, and we have already started to put into practice what we have learned.” And in the words of Rev. Lindani Dube: “The classroom may be where the journey begins, but the real impact happens when learning steps into the community.”

The heart of NBI is equipping people not only to learn about ministry, but to live it out. We celebrate our CAVA partners, Joyous Family Centre School of Ministry, and every graduate who stayed the course. When people are equipped, they can equip others.

⛓️PRISON MINISTRY TESTIMONY

While serving my sentence in prison, I began studying several prison ministry books from Biblecor. It started with a small Bible study class I was invited to attend. The facilitator offered us the opportunity to write to the author, who replied personally and offered counselling via correspondence, then sent another book for me to continue studying.

As a new born-again believer, I could not get enough of what I was learning. The classes became the highlight of my week. Through these books, I learned about forgiveness and self-forgiveness, repentance, making things right with others, and treating people in a way that pleases God.

🦋These books created in me a deep love for the Word of God and a hunger to learn more. Eventually, I enrolled at university with a bursary and went on to study ministry and theology for eight and a half years.

I believe it all started with a book called The Only Way Out. Many others in our prisons can benefit from these books in the same way I did. They are easy to read and understand, even for someone who has never read the Bible before. I can honestly say this book meant a great deal to me, and I highly recommend it to anyone serving a sentence.

We are sincerely grateful to our advisory panel members who generously shared their valuable insights, perspectives, and expertise as we explored strategic opportunities and discussed the future direction of NBI.

I am Pastor Doctor Jonia Nomvula Sithole from Daantjie, Mbombela, Mpumalanga.

I thank Pastor Izak Roets for introducing me to NBI, and Rev. Koos Kriel for welcoming me as a student and opening the door to me becoming a facilitator.

Our first class began in my garage with 20 students, including bishops from different denominations, united by one passion: To know God more intimately. Through NBI, God fulfilled my calling to train, equip, and empower Christian leaders.

As the ministry grew, we established an NBI Learning Centre, trained facilitators, and have continued teaching, now also through WhatsApp. NBI courses have strengthened churches, restored marriages, equipped pastors in counselling and church administration, and brought unity among believers across denominations.

Since 2016, we have graduated more than 1,000 bishops, pastors, and church leaders. I am deeply grateful that NBI has made quality biblical training affordable and accessible to so many.

"NBI HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!" 💙

Gladys Gumede completed the Leadership Development Program in 2024 under the facilitation of Dr. Joniah Maseko at Dantjie Trust, and she shares how the course has impacted both her ministry and personal life.

📖 One of her favourite books was Develop Your Leadership Skills: The practical skills I learned have strengthened my role as our church secretary. I now know how to prepare meeting agendas, write accurate minutes, send invitations, and keep proper church records. I have also been able to pass these valuable skills on to other church members, my family, and people in my community.

❤️ Another book that deeply touched her was Build a Happy Marriage: "I learned that Christ must always be at the centre of a strong marriage. Couples should study the Bible together, pray together, and communicate well. I also learned the importance of teaching our children God's plan for purity before marriage. If youth leaders share these biblical principles with young people, we can help build stronger families and healthier communities.

I am Prophetess Nhlanhla Gwebu-Nkuna, a former NBI student. When I came to NBI, I had already studied at another institute. But at NBI, one of the first lessons that impacted me deeply was the book Test the Spirits. It helped me understand the prophetic ministry that God had given me. As I grew in knowledge and faith, I started using the gifts of the Holy Spirit more effectively in church, and I witnessed the church grow. The youth ministry also grew through the teachings and lessons I received.

Beyond the benefits of serving in church, this training also helped me serve my community. I work with people affected by HIV, offering counselling and support, bettering their lives. The knowledge from NBI has helped me minister to them with greater wisdom and compassion. NBI added value to my personal life as a married woman too, the marriage lessons have helped us as a couple greatly.

JOIN OR START A LEARNING CENTRE IN YOUR AREA

I, Gama Simon, a student pastor at NBI enrolled in the Church Leadership Development and Ministry Development Programs which I completed in 2025. These programs strengthened my biblical leadership foundation and shaped me to lead with integrity, wisdom, and humility.

I gained practical skills in planning, organising, and managing ministry activities, including setting up effective church programs. My spiritual life deepened through Bible study and theological reflection, strengthening my faith, discipline, and confidence in ministry. I also grew in preaching, teaching, counselling, and leadership communication, which improved my ability to inspire and guide others.
