Knowing Jesus
Intimate knowledge of God through Christ allows us to move away from only seeking divine moments of inspiration
This is when we are transformed by the Glory we enter into, this knowledge of Christ being known by God and knowing God.
Matthew 7:21-23
Amplified Bible
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’
Knowing God through not only experience but becoming entwined with the will of God to the point where your will does not determine who God is or what he can do.
Every thought you have become silent before God. We willingly lay down our lives to know Him.
And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, “Lord, lord, open to us.” But he answered, “Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.” Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour. (Matthew 25:10–13)
• John 17:2-3
as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
