Cinderella's Closet Wilmington Cinderella's Closet is a ministry of Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington, NC. They leave believing they are cherished.

We take donations of new or gently used formal wear that we then gift to young ladies in New Hanover County to use for prom or another school-sponsored formal. Cinderella's Closet of Wilmington provides formal wear to girls that could not otherwise attend prom. Even more important than providing a beautiful prom dress, we are able to provide an experience like no other for these young ladies. Once

they enter Cinderella’s Closet, they are lavished with hospitality, love and grace. It is for this reason that we opened Cinderella’s Closet.

It’s hard to believe our Prom Shopping events are done for the season but we had the best time finding the perfect dresses for our Princesses. We hit a record in our tenth year with 79 young ladies walking through our doors! Thank you to them for allowing us to share in your prom experience and also thank you to the huge amount of volunteers it takes to pull this off. We couldn’t do it without you.

As a reminder we are now closed to donations through the summer but will pick back up again in the fall for the 2027 prom season. In between, follow us here and on Instagram for ways you can support us through our fundraising ball in February.

Cinderella’s Closet is getting ready for our April shopping events, and we need your help!

We are currently accepting donations of on-trend prom jewelry to help every girl feel confident and complete her look on her special night.

✨ What we’re looking for:
• Necklaces & earrings
• Bracelets & rings
• Hair accessories

All items should be in style and in great condition.

Your donation can truly make a difference—helping a girl walk into prom feeling beautiful, confident, and celebrated.
