Today is Pentecost.

O God, on this day you open the hearts of your faithful people by sending into us your Holy Spirit. Direct us by the light of that Spirit, that we may have a right judgment in all things and rejoice at all times in your peace, through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. —Bread for the Day

Invite a crew from your church - and get registered - SOON!

Please join us for this full day to celebrate, learn, and connect around the theme of generosity. This is generosity rooted in God's abundant love for creation. Generosity of time, space, talents, and money - the generosity of our hearts.

We will be gathering at Trinity Lutheran Church & Schools in Lynnwood AND the new Lynnwood Neighborhood Center. We will center our time in worship at 9am with song, communion, preaching by Bishop Shelley, and gratitude and blessing for our Synod VP Kay Edgerton who will be concluding her term this summer.

We will welcome our keynote presenter, Rev. Tim Brown, ELCA director for congregational stewardship. Following lunch, there will be 2 afternoon workshop times - with a total of 22 options from local leaders! As we prepare to close the day, we will re-gather for a sending service - including time to install our newly elected synod council officers (new VP Cindy Shultz and re-elected Secretary Netsie Griffith) and Youth Synod Council Rep (Elizabeth Tanis).

Tonight is the night! Join us for the Easter Vigil this evening at 7:00pm.

On this night we proclaim the victory of Christ even in the midst of the shadows of the fading light. The liturgy begins in the courtyard with the first fire of Easter, the procession of the light into the fellowship hall, the telling of the ancient stories of our faith, and the celebration of Christ's resurrection. After worship, we will have a festive Easter reception as we rejoice together.

Note: This service will be longer than usual, perhaps 2 hours, and you don't want to miss it!

Bend your boughs, O tree of glory,
your relaxing sinews bend;
for a while the ancient rigor
that your birth bestowed, suspend;
and the Lord of heav'nly beauty
gently on your arms extend.

Faithful cross, true sign of triumph,
be for all the noblest tree;
none in foliage, none in blossom,
none in fruit your equal be;
symbol of the world's redemption,
for your burden makes us free.

Tonight we remember Christ's crucifixion on the Friday we dare to call "good."

You are invited to this meditative worship, tonight at 7:00pm, as we read the Passion according to John, celebrating Christ’s “victory” from the cross. This most solemn night includes prayer, meditation, song, and silence as we ponder the mystery of the cross and look for Christ’s resurrection.

Tonight we continue Holy Week with Maundy Thursday Potluck Dinner Church at 6:00pm.

On this night we remember how Jesus gathered his disciples around a meal we now call the Last Supper. We too will gather around a meal and move into a solemn worship service. “Maundy” comes from the Latin for “commandment,” and this night we recall Jesus’ commandment to love one another as we follow his example in washing each other’s feet and join his feast of life in Holy Communion. This service includes corporate confession, individual forgiveness, foot and hand washing, and concludes with the stripping of the altar.

Note: We will begin and end in the sanctuary but will process to the fellowship hall for our potluck dinner.
