"This week, I will embark upon a once in a lifetime experience. From June 8 until Labor Day, I will be on sabbatical ... This time away from parish ministry marks my first significant break since graduating from seminary 20 years ago. As I phrased it in my grant application, it is the intermission in a 40-year priesthood. I am in my mid-40s with teenage children, and the timing is just perfect for a tremendous adventure."

It was a delight to meet with the Rev. Mary Bol, the Missioner for African Ministries at The Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, to discuss the different ways that Epiphany can support her work as we grow into our parish's calling as a spiritual center of gravity for all people in and around Seattle.
