The Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region is a philanthropic, not-for-profit organization that provides educational, cultural, and social services and programs within the Jewish community locally and around the world. The Federation movement, collectively among the top 10 charities on the continent, protects and enhances the well-being of Jews worldwide through the values of tikkun olam (repa

iring the world) and tzedakah (charity and social justice). Founded more than 150 years ago by Jewish pioneers seeking peace and prosperity in a new land, the Jewish community of the Sacramento region has grown to more than 25,000 residents in a eight-county area. The Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region was created in 1921 and incorporated in 1948 to connect Jews locally and globally, nurture our values, enrich our traditions, and strengthen our community through education, social action, and philanthropy. The Federation provides ways for individual Jews to participate in communal responsibility and contribute to the well-being of others.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the beautiful diversity within our Jewish community and affirm that every person is created b’tzelem Elohim — in the divine image.

We celebrate those who are both Jewish and LGBTQ+, and the authenticity, resilience, and belonging you bring to our community. We celebrate you, and we celebrate with you.

Did you know the Federation offers a Kosher Meal Delivery Program for seniors?

KMD provides kosher Shabbat meals, care, and connection to homebound and vulnerable community members. We’re currently accepting new participants, donations, and volunteer drivers for Friday afternoon deliveries.
