Happy Birthday to our co-lead pastor, Dr. Efrem Smith! 🎉
Today, we celebrate a pastor, teacher, author, and leader whose life and ministry continue to inspire us to love God, love people, and pursue the work of Biblical justice.

We’re grateful for the wisdom, joy, and vision you bring to Midtown, and for the many ways you faithfully point us toward Jesus and remind us what it looks like to live out our faith in action.

Help us wish Pastor Efrem a very happy birthday! 🥳 Drop some love in the comments and join us in celebrating him today!

Every day, we have a choice: will we stand firm in our faith, or will we be shaped by whatever the world is saying around us?

Spiritual maturity means knowing what we believe, growing deeper in the gospel, and having the courage to live it out—even when it’s uncomfortable or unpopular. If we’re going to represent Jesus, we have to know Jesus. We have to stay rooted in His Word, grounded in His truth, and willing to let His love shape the way we see and treat others.

What were you praying for five years ago?

Maybe you’re living in an answered prayer you’ve stopped recognizing as a miracle. Before you focus on what you don’t have, remember what God has already done.

Don’t let what’s familiar make you forget what was once a miracle. God was faithful then, and you can trust Him right now.

Holy. Worthy. Almighty. The Lamb of God is worthy of all our worship, all our praise, and all the glory.

Let this be your practice today: pause, remember who He is, and worship Him for who He is.

What happens when the church becomes a place where everyone can come in, be seen, be loved, and be empowered?

Someone who has been incarcerated. Someone who has battled addiction. Someone who has experienced homelessness. Someone society has labeled as less presentable.

The church should be a place where people aren’t looked down on—and where no one walks in with their nose up.

Let’s look each other eye to eye. Heart to heart. And make room for people to be loved, empowered, liberated, and transformed.
