There’s a lot happening at Hope as we head into fall 🍂

🏠 What a difference a day makes!

After a rainy-day reschedule, our Brush Up volunteers spent this past Saturday helping a local homeowner with a fresh coat of paint.

You never quite know what might happen when you come to church 🤔

Maybe you’ll sing a song you love.
Maybe you’ll hear something you needed to hear.
Maybe someone will make you laugh.

Maybe you’ll find a little peace in the middle of a busy season.
Maybe you’ll stop for a smoothie on the way home.

We love these cute photos from a Sunday service earlier this summer. While Mom was walking around with her baby boy, big sister decided to hang out in the Comfort Room for a bit and found a creative way to ask a very important question 😂 Somehow, it captures a little bit of what we love about church. Real people. Real life. Kids and adults, showing up just as they are.

1️⃣ Youth Sunday was awesome!

What a wonderful Sunday celebrating the youth who are such an important part of the life of Hope! They led us in worship, shared their experiences, made music, read Scripture, prayed, and shared their gifts with all of us.

Our young people bring enthusiasm, energy, creativity, and joy to Hope, but they also bring their wonderful questions, vulnerability, ideas, and unique perspectives. They aren’t simply the future of the church. They are the church RIGHT NOW. We are so grateful for each of them!

2️⃣ We will miss Abby 🥺

As summer comes to an end, so does our time with our wonderful summer intern, Abby. She has been a part of so much at Hope this summer with our children and youth, and we are incredibly grateful for the energy, kindness, and care she has shared with us.

Thank you, Abby! We’ll miss having you around Hope and wish you all the best as you head back to college for year two 🤗

3️⃣ This Sunday: Youth vs. Adults Kickball!

There’s still one more summer adventure! This Sunday, August 30 at 5pm, our youth are challenging the adults of Hope to a Kickball Game, followed by a BBQ. Come to play or to cheer them on 🎉 Everyone is welcome!

4️⃣ Youth Group switcheroo!

Beginning September 16, Hope Youth (6th-12th grade) is moving from Sundays to Wednesday evenings from 5:30–7:30pm!

Each Wednesday will begin with dinner together, followed by games, fellowship, meaningful conversations, Bible study, and opportunities to grow in faith and friendship.

We’re excited about what this new schedule will offer our students and families! Watch for more information about our fall kickoff, calendar, and special events.

🐾 It’s National Dog Day and we want to see your dogs 🐾

“Just ask the animals, and they will teach you…” (Job 12:7)

Dogs really do have a lot to teach us about joy, being present, welcoming people enthusiastically, and loving with our whole selves ❤️

🏠 New date, same great BRUSH UP event!

Because of rain last Saturday, Hope’s Brush Up event has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 29, from 8am-5pm.

Join us as we spend the day painting the home of a local family who could use a hand. Whether you’re an experienced painter or simply willing to help, there’s a spot for you to serve!

Youth Sunday is THIS Sunday 🤩

Our youth will help lead us in worship and share their own voices, experiences, and perspectives.

Throughout the past year, they’ve served, traveled, learned, played, made music, built friendships, asked questions, and grown in faith together. This Sunday, we get to hear about it.

Guided by Jeremiah 1:4-8, we’ll celebrate the truth that God knows and calls each of us, and that our young people are not simply preparing to become part of the church someday - they are part of who we are TODAY!

We’ll also send students, teachers, and school staff into the new school year with a special Back-to-School Blessing 🎒

Join us Sunday, August 23 at 10am to celebrate, encourage, and worship alongside the young people of Hope.

Sunday’s Volunteer Training was a great opportunity to learn more about getting involved at Hope. And we’re doing it again this Wednesday (tomorrow) ✅
