Greater Omaha Baptist Church We are an independent Baptist church dedicated to glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ through preaching, teaching, and worship in song.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day: We Remember. We Honor. We Give Thanks. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy today, and we are forever grateful. As a church, we gathered together in worship yesterday, giving thanks for their courage and sacrifice, and lifting up in prayer the families who are carrying the weight of loss on this day of remembrance. We pray that God would bring comfort, peace, and strength to all who mourn, and that we would never forget the price that was paid for our freedom.

Sunday morning at 11 AM, we're digging deep in the Gospel of John.

“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

As we celebrate our first year in our new location, we are excited to share another important milestone: the launch of our new name, Greater Omaha Baptist Church, and to reflect on an incredible season of growth!

After the union of Midlands Baptist Temple and West Omaha Baptist Church in December, 2024, we began a six-week renovation of the first floor of the Midlands Baptist Temple building.

In January, 2025, West Omaha Baptist Church joyfully exited our rented commercial property and moved into our “new-to-us” church building. Since then, we have continued to grow and update our church home, most recently completing several exterior structural improvements and updates.

As our location has changed, so has our name. Today, Greater Omaha Baptist Church continues forward with the same heart, same mission, and same commitment to worship and reaching our community.

We look forward to exciting opportunities as we approach our 20th year of ministry, including continued construction, expanded outreach, and growing ministry opportunities. We’re grateful for what God has done and excited for what’s to come!

Caroling with the shut ins is a WOBC favorite! The residents and activity director lifted their voices in praise right along with our small choir as we celebrated our Savior!
