Our story is filled with many chapters, each of them contributing to who we are as a parish today. In our history there were times when our community experienced great achievements together and there were times when we have felt the sting of great disappointment. We have celebrated together the moments of each other’s greatest joys and have stood by each other in times of deepest need or sorrow. T

hrough it all, as we have watched the changes that have taken place around us in our world, we remain steadfast to our mission and dedication to our parish. Our story as a community of faith continues to be written today. We remain a vibrant parish at Holy Ghost Catholic Church where our parishioners are strengthened by the sacraments and motivated by our love for God and for each other. After a season of restoration and renewal, the parish community of St. Bernadette Parish Archdiocese of Omaha joyfully welcomed parishioners, families, friends, and guests back for the Grand Reopening of St. Bernadette Church on Sunday morning.

This special weekend marks more than the reopening of a building, it is a celebration of faith, community, and a renewed sacred space where generations will continue to gather in worship, prayer, fellowship, and service.

With grateful hearts, we thank Archbishop Michael G. McGovern for celebrating our Grand Reopening Mass, dedicating the new altar, and leading the Rite of Entombing the Relic.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Carlson West Povondra Architects, Lueder Construction, our parish leadership, staff, volunteers, donors, and the many parishioners whose generosity, hard work, and prayers made this renovation project possible.

This beautiful renewal of St. Bernadette Church is a testament to the faith, dedication, and generosity of our parish family. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

This weekend, May 23–24, our Holy Ghost Catholic Church and St. Bernadette Parish parish family celebrates the Solemnity of Pentecost, the birth of the Church and the conclusion of the Easter season.

Pentecost is especially meaningful for Holy Ghost as we celebrate the feast of our parish patron.

During Masses this weekend, you’ll see special displays honoring:
🕊️ The Seven Sacraments
🕊️ The Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit
🕊️ The Twelve Fruits of the Holy Spirit
🕊️ The Seven Works of Mercy

We also remember and celebrate all those who have received sacraments since Pentecost of last year and their families.

❤️ Everyone is invited to wear red!
☕ Join us for hospitality and fellowship following the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Masses in the Social Hall.

As the United States marks the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, the U.S. Bishops will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus during the Feast of the Sacred Heart.

Our St. Bernadette and Holy Ghost Catholic parish family will celebrate this historic occasion with Eucharistic Adoration, special Holy Hours, prayer resources, and opportunities for individuals and families to spend time with Jesus.

✨ We need 250 adorers!
Come pray for our nation, our Church, our families, our leaders, healing, vocations, and more.

📍 Special Holy Hours will take place June 11–12.
📍 Adoration will be held at both St. Bernadette and Holy Ghost.

Help make the 2026 4th Annual Holy Ghost Car Show a success by becoming a sponsor! Sponsorship opportunities are now available and levels range from BRONZE ($100) to GOLD ($500), with recognition including event advertising, sponsor banners, social media mentions, and more.

✨ New in 2026: Holy Ghost and St. Bernadette families are invited to become Family or Memorial Sponsors ($50) and have a family name or memorial tribute displayed on a yard sign along our sponsor walkway.
