TWO DAYS until “The Greatest Festival in Town!” Remember when Martha and the Vandellas sang “Dancing in the Streets”? Or maybe you prefer the cover by Mick Jagger and David Bowie. Who didn’t love Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” video? Have you ever made a turn around the floor when Frankie Yankovic (“The Polka King”) played “Dancing the Polka?” Now we need an Omaha musician to write “Dancing in the Hollow” for the Sts. Peter & Paul Greatest Festival in Town!
You’ll be the envy of the other festival-goers when you show off your dance moves. Ken Janak Orchestra plays 12 – 2; Mark Vyhlidal Orchestra from 2:30 – 5:30, and Happy Endings 6 – 8. Cool off in the gym’s air-conditioned comfort or under the spacious tents with a taco, a sarma, a lamb sandwich, a burger, sausage, or crab Rangoon. Of course, wash it all down with a frosty beverage!
