A picnic will follow the worship service. Please dress casually and bring a dessert to share if you are able.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Lafayette, Indiana is looking to hire the part-time position of Worship Technology Coordinator. A brief summary of the job and broad requirements are listed below:

The Worship Technology Coordinator shall support the mission of the church by integrating communication, technology, and media into worship and community life. This position ensures services, sermons, and church messages are accessible and engaging through both in-person and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design graphics and visual elements for worship services and sermon series.
-Oversee livestream production and audio systems (including digital sound board operation).
-Maintain worship technology infrastructure and train volunteers.
-Support pastors and ministry leaders with communication and media needs.

This Sunday, we continue with the second week of our new summer sermon series, Living the Gospel Together: A Summer Journey through Romans and Philippians. As we move through this series, we are being invited to reflect on what it means not only to believe the gospel, but to live it together as a community shaped by grace, humility, and love.

We are happy to welcome Reverend Mia Smith as our guest preacher this week. Reverend Mia Smith has been serving God through faith leadership for the past eight years as Director of Pastoral Care at University Place in West Lafayette. In that role, she has had the opportunity to build bridges of understanding between Christian denominations and other faith traditions while preaching, teaching, and providing daily pastoral care.

This Sunday, we begin a new summer worship series at First Christian Church called “Living the Gospel Together: A Summer Journey through Romans and Philippians.” After Pentecost, the
church is not simply asked to believe the gospel; we are called to live it together. Paul’s letters remind us that faith is not only a private conviction or personal comfort. Faith forms a
people. Week by week, this series will invite us to ask: What does the gospel look like when it becomes our way of
life?
