What a wonderful turnout at Thieme and Wagner for the first night of Sister Lenore's local history series! Lafayette is a unique place with a fascinating spiritual history, and Sister introduced St. Peter's Pinters to the people and events that shaped our city through the founding of its parishes.

Today is one of only 2 days in the year on which the Supplica of Our Lady of Pompeii is prayed.

This devotion was revived by St. Bartolo Longo (himself a former occult priest). It was much loved by new saint Carlo Acutis.

Pope Leo will visit our Lady's shrine where, on this day last year, the Supplica was prayed--the day he was elected to the papacy!

Prayers are traditionally recited at noon.

The prayer to be prayed at noon on May 8, and at noon on on the first Sunday of October
