One week ago today, we gathered for peace at the Temple in Independence, Missouri. 🌱 We hope those who attended feel inspired and ready to work. We’re grateful for our guests and everyone who made this event possible. You can find more information about the Peace Forum on our YouTube channel and website. In the words of President Stassi Cramm, “What if we get it right?”

Onward! 🕊️

Last weekend, we gathered in Independence and online for the Peace Forum, Seeds of Peace: Environmental Justice and Action. We were honored to present our International Peace Award to Bill McKibben. 🌱

Bill reflected on what he saw and felt while he was with us over on his Substack. He asked whether the peace movement and the climate movement might be the same. His answer: “The solar panel is the new peace symbol.”

When we care for creation, we also reduce the conditions that fuel conflict. Peace and justice for the earth are bound together, and that is the work we’re called to together. 🫂

Thank you, Bill, and thank you to everyone who joined us in person and online. Find the link to Bill's article below in the comments.
