As Latter-day Saints we have been encouraged by our leaders to participate in a church service day on or around Sept 11 each year. Here is one such project that is worth your time:

911.org's project meal packing at Team Mobile Center. They need volunteers to pack food and also volunteers to lead teams. This is actually on 9/11 - a Friday.

On September 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. MDT, Church Newsroom will host a LIVE media event revealing more of what visitors can expect during the 2027 Salt Lake Temple Celebration.

Open House reservations will begin September 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. MDT.

President Oaks will be speaking at the National Cathedral on September 16th on the topic of Faith, Freedom and the Common Good. The event will be streamed live and starts at 6 pm (Eastern Time). A new website offers historical resources for those interested in visiting or learning about the Church's Missouri historic sites.

We are excited that the Kansas City Temple Run will be held on Monday, September 7 ( Labor Day), near the Kansas City Temple. This is the 15th year for the event, and it has historically drawn hundreds of runners and walkers, in addition to many more who just enjoy the event.
