I am immensely grateful for the extraordinary legacy of Dr. David Yonggi Cho. Each time I visit the Osanri Choi Ja-sil Memorial Fasting Prayer Mountain, I am filled with inspiration and a renewed passion for prayer. Dr. Cho’s unwavering devotion has left a profound impact on my life. Before he entered his eternal rest, he graciously allowed me into his personal prayer room to seek the Lord.

Now, as I sit behind the desk of this remarkable general of faith whose influence shook nations and ignited revivals around the world I can feel the weight of divine purpose. In December, God spoke to my heart, revealing that our ministry is to advance at the speed of prayer. Leaving this sacred place, I carry with me a fresh anointing and a renewed commitment to the mission and mandate that the Lord first placed in my heart all those years ago when I came here to seek Him in prayer. Grateful

Daniel Nash - Labored With Finney & Mighty In Prayer

Daniel Nash (1775-1831) served as Charles Finney’s personnel intercessor.

He was key to the revival that followed Finney’s ministry. We can all look at the life of Daniel Nash and see an example of how important prayer is to see the kingdom of God revealed. From “Daniel Nash: Prevailing Prince of Prayer” When God would direct where a meeting was to be held, Father Nash would slip quietly into town and seek to get two or three people to enter into a covenant of prayer with him. Sometimes he had with him a man of similar prayer ministry, Abel Clary. Together they would begin to pray fervently for God to move in the community.

One record of such is told by Leonard Ravenhill: “I met an old lady who told me a story about Charles Finney that has challenged me over the years. Finney went to Bolton to minister, but before he began, two men knocked on the door of her humble cottage, wanting lodging. The poor woman looked amazed, for she had no extra accommodations. Finally, for about twenty-five cents a week, the two men, none other than Fathers Nash and Clary, rented a dark and damp cellar for the period of the Finney meetings (at least two weeks), and there in that self-chosen cell, those prayer partners battled the forces of darkness.”

Another record tells: “On one occasion when I got to town to start a revival a lady contacted me who ran a boarding house. She said, ‘Brother Finney, do you know a Father Nash? He and two other men have been at my boarding house for the last three days, but they haven’t eaten a bite of food. I opened the door and peeped in at them because I could hear them groaning, and I saw them down on their faces. They have been this way for three days, lying prostrate on the floor and groaning. I thought something awful must have happened to them. I was afraid to go in and I didn’t know what to do. Would you please come see about them?’ “‘No, it isn’t necessary,’ Finney replied. ‘They just have a spirit of travail in prayer.'”

Another states: “Charles Finney so realized the need of God’s working in all his service that he was wont to send godly Father Nash on in advance to pray down the power of God into the meetings which he was about to hold.” Not only did Nash prepare the communities for preaching, but he also continued in prayer during the meetings. “Often Nash would not attend meetings, and while Finney was preaching Nash was praying for the Spirit’s outpouring upon him. Finney stated, ‘I did the preaching altogether, and brother Nash gave himself up almost continually to prayer.’ Often while the evangelist preached to the multitudes, Nash in some adjoining house would be upon his face in an agony of prayer, and God answered in the marvels of His grace. With all due credit to Mr. Finney for what was done, it was the praying men who held the ropes. The tears they shed, the groans they uttered are written in the book of the chronicles of the things of God.”

🚨America… Today I got Goosebumps Because what Pete Hegseth’s children are doing in this photo… is something that most parents today have completely forgotten to teach their own children. And today… this photo broke me and healed me at the exact same time. We live in a generation where parents teach their children everything. Sports. Studies. Screen time. Social media. But nobody teaches them to pray. Nobody sits them down and says — before anything else in this life… bow your head. And talk to God. And then I saw this photo. Pete Hegseth’s children. Heads bowed. Hands folded. Praying. Not performing for cameras. Not doing it because someone forced them. Because their father taught them that God comes before everything. A Princeton graduate who served overseas. Who came home changed forever by something only God could explain. Who started a monthly prayer service at the Pentagon.

And who made sure his children understood the same truth he learned in the hardest moments of his life. God is King. And everything else comes after. Today… I showed this photo to my own children. And I told them — look at these children. Learn from them. Because the most powerful thing any human being can do… is bow their head before God. And my children started praying today. For the first time on their own. Without being asked. Because Pete Hegseth’s children showed them how.

Today… I want every American parent to show their children this photo. Because in a world that teaches everything except faith… Pete Hegseth is raising his children the right way. And today… his children taught mine. 😭🙏🇺🇸 Drop a ❤️ right now if this photo touched your heart. Type “JESUS IS KING” below. Tag every American parent today who needs to show their children this photo… because Pete Hegseth just taught an entire generation something their parents forgot to. -- garvit pandey

John Hyde (1865–1912), often known as “Praying Hyde,” was a missionary to India whose life became marked by extraordinary intercession and spiritual power. Serving with the Punjab Mission, he devoted himself to intense, prolonged prayer, often for hours or days, seeking the salvation of souls and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Hyde became known for praying specific numbers of conversions and seeing them answered, and his burden for the lost was so deep that it reportedly affected his physical health. His life stands as a powerful example of how fervent, Spirit-led prayer can impact nations and bring revival.

An angel visited Lake and had the following to say...

"During all this time I had carried my Bible in my hand. Reaching for the Bible, he opened to the Book of Acts, ran his finger down over the second page, that portion where the Spirit of God came down from Heaven. Proceeding through the Book of Acts to its great outstanding revelations and phenomena, he said, “This is Pentecost as God gave it through the heart of Jesus. Strive for this. Contend for this. Teach the people to pray for this. For this, and this alone, will meet the necessity of the human heart, and this alone will have the power to overcome the forces of darkness.” When the angel was departing he said, “Pray. Pray. Pray. Teach the people to pray. Prayer and prayer alone, much prayer, persistent prayer, is the door of entrance into the heart of God.”

Need one here!!!

Nothing that Oral has ever attempted in his life has been without controversy. The newest ORU controversy was focused on the Prayer Tower built at the center of the Oral Roberts University campus. The two-hundred- foot building was designed to be the school’s focal point, located in a sunken garden at the center of the campus. Made out of glass and steel, the building resembled a giant cross. When lit, the gas flame on the top of the tower could be seen for miles around the Tulsa landscape.
There were academic administrators who objected to the building, saying that a place of prayer should not be so obviously displayed on campus. For Oral, the Prayer Tower was the heart of the ministry, as well as the heart of the campus. There was a circular observation deck on top where the prayer team could look out over the campus and pray for the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the students, the faculty and their families. Prayer to a God who hears and answers His people was at the center of the university’s purpose for existence, and Oral intended for it to remain at the center of ORU forever.
