We have so many animals here at the shelter that are desperate for their furever homes. Starting now and running through 07/23/2022, all adult dogs and cats have adoption fees of $10, and kittens have adoption fees of only $75! This special excludes high profile pets and puppies. Now that the 4th of July has passed, right now is the perfect time to add a new family member. With the right amount of love, patience, and training, all of our animals can be amazing.

We can do cat adoptions on a walk-in basis and prefer appointments for dogs. Please call (816) 325-7207 (option 2) or email [email protected] to schedule an appointment. Visit Indep.us/adoptablepets to view all of our adoptable animals.
