Everyone talks about this man named Jesus Christ, but who is he really? What did he do that makes him so important? Well my name is Jayla, and Jesus saved my life. Throughout my childhood, I would always hear about Jesus and how he saved people’s lives. I would go to church and read my Bible. But I never really knew him, I wanted a relationship with him but I would always feel like Jesus would never want a relationship with me because I would only talk to him when I needed something or come to him when I had really negative emotions and thoughts that would lead me to self-harm. I prayed that he would take my pain away and help me. God would always try to reach out to me but I would always push it away because I felt like I wasn’t worthy enough. I have always felt guilty about myself and how I would see people having a relationship with him. Something that I really wanted but never tried. That’s when my life flipped upside down and God used one of the missionaries( Kate Eden ) to reach out to me from a post I liked about going to church. And she would always try to help me with finding a church but I would see it and always back away until I finally gave in and texted back and we had a call and she prayed for me and that’s when I really felt God's presence. I joined another call with more missionaries (Elder Clark and Rudd) and they found me a ride to church and met with me for lessons. The first day I came into church I felt welcome and loved and everyone was so nice and helpful. And that’s when I realized I knew I wanted to give my life to Jesus Christ and walk with him so I did I got baptized and that’s when I really felt the Holy Ghost and God's work on me. Over these past few months, I have gone through so much pain and hardship. And so much growth. Those weaknesses have helped shape me into the person I am today. I have learned to give Jesus the wheel and stand firm in my faith. Through his word, I have gained wisdom, patience, and trust that God has a plan for me. Thank you, Jesus! He saved me and made a really big impact on my life. And I can really tell you that Jesus Christ really can save you too.

I testify that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father are real and that there is indeed evidence of it in the scriptures that help solidify this idea. I also testify that Jesus Christ will allow me a pathway to be reunited eternally with my mother and those who I love who have passed away. I found Christ through the missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I know this is something my Mom would be excited to hear and support as she watches over me. Along with heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
