🎵 Songs for the Road: Repentance 🎵

This past Sunday at Fusion, we began our summer sermon series, Songs for the Road, a journey through the Psalms of Ascent (Psalms 120–134). These were the songs God's people sang as they traveled up to Jerusalem for worship, and they continue to give voice to the journey of faith today.

Our first stop was Psalm 120, a psalm of repentance. The journey toward God begins when we recognize that the ways of the world leave us restless, frustrated, and far from the peace God desires for us. Repentance is more than feeling sorry—it is choosing to turn away from the world's path and return to the way of Jesus.

As we travel through these psalms together this summer, we'll discover songs of worship, service, help, joy, hope, humility, community, and more—all pointing us toward a deeper walk with Christ.

Whether you're on vacation, traveling for work, relaxing at the lake, or enjoying a quiet summer evening, take these Songs for the Road with you. 🎧 Be sure to listen to the weekly sermons all summer long as we continue this pilgrimage together.

This Sunday we begin a new sermon series titled, "Songs for the Road" that will be a summer long journey through the Psalms of Ascents (Psalms 120-134). These were the songs the people of God recited while making their way up to the city of Jerusalem for the annual pilgrim festivals and they continue to give voice to the pilgrim journey of Christ followers today. This week, we consider the act of repentance through Psalm 120. Those moments when we choose to reject the way of the world and return to the way of Jesus. Join us on this journey.

This week, we wrapped up our BLESS Others sermon series by exploring the final step in the B.L.E.S.S. rhythm: Story.

In John 3:1-21, we looked at Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus and were reminded that spiritual conversations often begin with simple openness, honesty, and curiosity. Jesus meets people where they are and invites them into the transforming hope of new life in Him.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to be His witnesses — not with pressure or perfection, but by sharing the story of what God has done in our lives and pointing others to the good news of Christ.

If you missed Sunday’s message or would like to listen again, be sure to check out the podcast this week for encouragement and practical ways to follow Jesus’ lead in sharing your faith.

Bless: Story
John 3:1-21

Join us as we conclude our sermon series on the Witnessing Life titled "Bless Others," where we have been journeying through the (B.L.E.S.S.) acronym. Our hope has been to discover how each and every follower of Jesus is called to be his witnesses through the blessing of others. This week, we will explore the final movement in the acronym "Story" - that point in our relationships when we have an open door to share the good news of Jesus with a friend. We will once again look to learn from Jesus on how to best have these spiritual conversations, with the hopes that we would find inspiration and encouragement to follow his lead.

This week at Fusion Community, we continued our “BLESS Others” sermon series by exploring what it means to SERVE through the example of Jesus in Mark 7:31-37.

In this powerful passage, Jesus heals a man who was deaf and unable to speak clearly — but He does more than perform a miracle. Jesus slows down, shows compassion, and serves this man with care and dignity. Through His example, we’re reminded that serving others is one of the clearest ways we reflect the love of Christ to our neighbors.

As we continue walking through the B.L.E.S.S. acronym together, we are discovering that every follower of Jesus is called to be His witness by blessing others in everyday ways. Service is not just something we do — it’s part of how God transforms us and works through us.

Bless: Eat
Matthew 9:9-13

Join us as we continue in our sermon series on the Witnessing Life titled "Bless Others," where we will journey through the B.L.E.S.S. model. We hope to discover how every follower of Jesus is called to be his Witnesses by blessing others. This week, we will explore the importance of "Eating" and, in particular, this generous gift of hospitality. Even today, there is not much else that can bring people together from all walks of life, quite like a good and hearty meal. May we continue in the way of Jesus and begin to see our dinner tables as sacred places where we might be able to connect and love our neighbors.

We’re continuing our Witnessing Life series, “Bless Others,” as we explore what it means to live out the B.L.E.S.S. rhythm—and this week, we focused on one simple but powerful step: Listen (Luke 18:35–43).

In a world that often talks over others or rushes past meaningful moments, Jesus shows us a different way. As He encountered the blind beggar, He didn’t ignore him or move on—He stopped, listened, and responded with compassion. Through His example, we see that listening is more than hearing words; it’s a way of honoring others and showing genuine love and care.

When we take time to truly listen, we reflect the heart of Jesus. We slow down, we notice people, and we create space for God to work in and through those interactions.

Who in your life might need to be heard this week?
