Every Monday, our church family gets to play trivia!

Someone from St. John's submits a few fun facts about themselves, and the rest of us try to guess who it is. It's one of those small things that turns out to mean a lot.

Wondering who this week's mystery member is? Check your email next Monday to find out.

Every year, our youth help run parking during the Devon Horse Show. And every year, they decide together where a portion of those funds goes.

This year, they chose the Massanetta Springs Camp and Conference Center's Building a Place for All Campaign, which is raising funds to build new housing that will serve refugees through Church World Service.

That's not just good stewardship. That's our kids putting their faith into action.

This month, we welcomed three "new" members-- Andria, Michael and Kathryn!

While they are now officially official, they have been a part of our family for a while and we consider them a part of things around here. We give thanks to God for their commitment to God, the gifts they share and for the relationships we are building!

What does it mean to do something in the name of Jesus?

Pastor Patrick put it this way: "Whatever we do, we do it in a way that brings about freedom and peace and healing and life, forgiveness and second chances, blessing for those who need to be blessed."

Compassion. Kindness. Humility. Patience. Love.

Not just words. A way of living.

Join us this morning at 9:30 a.m., in person or online, as we continue to dive into God's word and take communion together.

This summer, our youth are going places. Literally.

Our middle schoolers head to Massanetta in June. Our high schoolers head to Montreat in August. This Sunday, June 7, we're commissioning them in worship before they go, a whole church family moment to send them off with prayer and love.

And when they come back? They'll be the ones leading us. Our youth will share what they learned at camp during worship on June 28 and August 16. It's always one of the best Sundays of the year so mark your calendars!

For this Sunday, come help us send off these incredible young people!

Summer Sermon Series begins June 7- As the season of Easter ends, we enter a season of “Ordinary Time” in the life of the Church. Join us this summer as we follow the family narratives of Abraham - stories in which God shows up again and again—persistently, creatively, and lovingly—in ways that are surprising, transformative, joyful, reconciling, and unifying. The movement of the Spirit is anything but ordinary!

"It is holy, holy work to stop, to breathe, to pause, to let the season we're in teach us something. It allows peace to reign in the midst of our lives. God calls that holy work."

Pastor Ridgley shared those words a couple of Sundays ago, and they've stayed with us.

If you've been meaning to come back, or if you missed a week and want to catch up, this Sunday is a good day. Join us in person at 9:30 AM, or find this week's service and any you may have missed at the link below.

We're glad you're here, wherever you're joining from.

The Strawberry Festival is one of those mornings that just feels like St. John's at its best.

Mark your calendars and join us June 14 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. for homemade pound cake, fresh strawberries, a special time of blessing for our graduates, and the kind of fellowship that makes this place feel like home.

Mark your calendar. Bring someone new.

There is something about a handmade card that no store-bought version can touch.

For Mother's Day this year, our kids took a little time to make something for the moms in their lives. Colored markers, a little glitter, a lot of heart. It is a small moment, but it is also a picture of what we are doing here: raising kids who know how to show up for the people they love.

At St. John's, children are part of the fabric of this church from the very beginning. From Sunday School and Children's Time in worship, to Sacrament Workshops and mission projects, to eventually heading off to Montreat and Massanetta with their friends, this is a place that grows with your family.

We are so glad these kids are ours.
