Church family, in addition to being radiant queen sponsors, we are also looking for people who are able and willing to volunteer for the event.

Our greatest need is for volunteers for the children’s area. Don’t worry. Volunteers for this part of the event are there to help parents and children know what activities are available. You are not responsible for the kids themselves. That responsibility remains with the parents.

We will also have a table at the event with information about the church and some give-aways.

Any time you can give between 12pm and 5pm on June 28 would be appreciated. Call the church office or email us to sign up.

Flag Day marks the anniversary of the Continental Congress adopting the Stars and Stripes on June 14, 1777. The Flag Resolution decreed that the American flag have 13 alternating red and white stripes representing the original 13 colonies, with a union of 13 white stars on a blue field representing a new constellation

This adoption followed the need for a unifying symbol during the Revolutionary War, as each colony had previously flown different flags with various emblems and slogans. The original flag saw design evolutions over time, with stars added as new states joined the Union, while the 13 stripes remained unchanged

The current 50-star flag, designed for Hawaii and Alaska's statehood, was created by high school student Robert G. Heft in 1958
