His House Christian Fellowship - FSU

Engaging Campus. Encountering Christ. His House Christian Fellowship is people –People who don’t give you the dead fish handshake when you meet them.

We are students from a variety of backgrounds who have come together to share our love for Jesus and our friendship with one another. We aren’t perfect and we aren’t the only Christians out there but we are growing. We are growing as individual Christians and we are growing as a group… a Church… Christ’s Church right here in the middle of campus. No matter what your background is you are welcome t

o join us as we pursue the God of the Bible. You can dive right in or you can just check us out for a while. You are welcome to come in and sit in the back of our meetings and just watch if you want – But don’t count on just sitting for long. Don’t expect to be left alone. Don’t think you’ll be able to be uninvolved.

Tonight at the men's house!!

We know the weather looks a little iffy but even if this gets rained out, we'll still have the PBJ Bar and lots of games and community inside the house. And maybe dress for pickleball to be on the muddy side 😀

Remember the twist! You can't use a pickleball paddle for tonight!

Our first Wednesday Bible study is tonight and we're so excited!! We can't wait to see everyone!

We'll be in Eisler 202 at 7 tonight and then down to the Den for snacks and games afterwards! Grab a friend and come join us as we begin our series Freedom, going through the book of Galations.

Ferris is a beautiful campus! But sometimes you want to explore a little more off campus! Here's local only places (no chains) that we recommend around the Big Rapids area!

While we sometimes joke that Big Rapids is neither big nor rapid, the reality is, this is really a cool place to live! We encourage you to get off campus and explore your new home!

Food places for when you want something different than the dining halls.

Pizza in Paris is about 8 miles from campus and well worth the drive!!

The Backroom is behind Toppings on Michigan Ave so you can get froyo AND coffee in the same building!

All the coffee shops have great seating areas to sit and talk or to knock out some homework!

Dairy Depot in Reed City is only open until mid-September and is cash only as an FYI!

The Muskegon River is beautiful to walk along! Don't miss out on this!

All of these places are ones our staff have used, trust and would go back to without a problem. Their work is solid, they're honest and we've had no issues with them!

We go to Big Rapids Tire for anything they can do. Prices are good, availability is quick and they're kind and helpful!

Crossroads would be our next choice for anything the tire shop can't do. Very considerate staff and helpful! Quality Car and Johnson Automotive are both excellent car shops (and they're honest!) but they are more expensive and charge for diagnostics. But the work is good!!

Chase Creek is about 30 mins from campus but it's WELL worth the drive!!

They have a huge movie selection as well if you're cutting streaming services.

Our staff attend RCnaz and Big Rapids Free Methodist. Both of these are solid, Biblical churches that we have found amazing community and church connections at! RCnaz is a bigger church for this area with a wide variety of ages. The BR Free Methodist is smaller and more traditional and absolutely loves college students!

Many of our students attend Trinity and Res on Sundays and have found good connections there!

His House also functions as an on-campus church, specifically designed for YOU as a college student! We would love to have you join us in DEC 202 on Wednesdays at 7!

Welcome Bulldogs!!!

The heavens are mourning the end of summer alongside all of us today 😂 but the rain should clear up soon! Which means it's a perfect day to celebrate the new start to the year with a FREE ice cream float!

Come find us on Robinson Quad (it's between the library and the Eisler Center) from 11-2 to grab a float, play some Koob, hang out with us and celebrate! Bring a friend, we have lots of ice cream!! And yes, we do have dairy free options as well!

Come and check out His House! Our Kickstart Cookout is today starting at 4:30! Everyone is welcome! Grab your roommates and come meet new people, get some free food and play some yard games! Games not your thing? That's ok! You can come watch the antics and chat instead!

The last two days some of our student leaders participated in a leadership retreat with the staff in preparation for the upcoming school year. Hearing their excitement for what's coming and their hopes and dreams for His House this semester was encouraging! And hearing them pray for each other, returning and incoming students was incredible.

We all left excited to see what's going to happen at Ferris State this year!!!

And we're double dipping this event. We're also doing it as a welcome to the family party for new students and you can help us welcome them! Come tell them in person what makes His House special!

Pulled pork and Kate cookies provided. Family style potluck for the sides!
