On Sunday, our service was led by our Junior Church.

Junior Church explained the activities they have been engaging in recently and our 'adult' church were then invited to take part in different stations around the Church Hall.

Churches Together in Bury are holding their annual Prayer in the Park in Clarence Park on Saturday 23rd May between 1:30pm and 4pm. We will be singing worship songs and praying for all aspects of life in Bury. Do come and join us.

Our next Mens Monthly meeting will be held on Monday 11th May at the Two Tubs in Bury.

On Sunday, we were delighted to have a Confirmation Service for Sam and to welcome him into membership of the Methodist Church.

During the service we also welcomed a further six additional new members into our church (who had already been confirmed).

Prayer in Church is taking place this Thursday.

Anyone is welcome to attend for as much or as little of the sessions as they wish.

For anyone who is unsure what we do, the church entrance on Linton Avenue is open from just before 7.15 pm for you to just come in and pray. You can pray on your own or ask someone to pray with you - the vision for this is to provide space for people to take time out and pray.

We usually have gentle worship music playing in the background and we do have a prayer prompt sheet in case you wish to use it but you don't have to.

Here are some suggestions if you would like some help focusing your prayers:

The Empty Cross

Think about Easter and all it means – take time to soak in the enormity of it all
Be thankful that God sent Jesus as the means of salvation to restore our relationship with Him
Focus on Jesus, the hope for the world – the resurrection is the gospel, for everyone. There are no outsiders to God, He loves us all.
Reflect and pray, what doe the resurrection mean to you? How can you share it with those you meet in your everyday life?

Our next Men's Monthly will take place tonight on Monday 13th April!

Meeting at the Two Tubs, Bury from 8-10pm.

This is an opportunity for men of Seedfield, to meet up and have time of conversation and fellowship together. A range of games will also be available.

During our service on Easter Sunday, the congregation were invited to write their own prayers of thanks and praise and place them on the cross.

The colourful notes and prayers helped turn the cross from a symbol of death to a symbol of hope and joy.

There will be no Prayer in Church on Thursday 9th or 16th April (due to Easter holidays). It will then return on Thursday 23rd April.

Join with people from across the Bury Circuit for a morning of prayer and worship for the life of the Circuit, its churches, and its people.

With all the change and transition we are undergoing as a Circuit we continue to seek God's will for us as individuals and Church together through prayer.

Gathering at Holcombe Brook Methodist Church at 9.30am on Saturday 21st March.
