Every year we celebrate the work of the Bible Society with a special evening event. This year it will be on Friday 25th September at 7.30pm at Bury United Reformed Church.

On Wednesday 22 July, representatives from the NHS, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, and Bury Council hosted the 10th annual Collabor8 community event held at the Derby High School.
CAP and the Bury Project were represented at the event by our Debt Coach Hannah Sadler, along with two of our trustees Tim Boaden and Ross Grant.
It was great to meet people at the event and to publicise the work we do, helping people find a way out of debt.

We are looking for compassionate, highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our Team. We have two vacancies in our Food Services Team. We are looking for:
A Food Services Support Worker (LWP) to develop and deliver our Local Welfare Provision community café in partnership with Bolton Council
A Food Services Project Worker to deliver food-related anti-poverty services from our Food Hub.

Ideally, this position is full time (35hrs per week), however part-time may be considered. The full-time salary for this position is £24,486 pa.

Imagine a round of Just a Minute where the challenge is to talk about church for sixty seconds without uttering the forbidden word “God.” Ironically, some church leaders would be absolute champions at the game. Listening to them, you could be forgiven for thinking G*d has quietly left the building, leaving ample time to discuss budgets, roof repairs, safeguarding policies, coffee rotas, and every other conceivable topic—except the spiritual health of the flock and the mission of the church.

Please nominate THE BURY PROJECT for an opportunity to receive £5,000 of funding! 20 charities will receive some funding.
£5,000 would be an enormous help to our small charity providing free debt advice (in partnership with Christians Against Poverty) and support to people struggling with unmanageable debt.
All you have to do is nominate us, but do it now because this opportunity is time limited!
