It is the 1st day of Hijrah, Muḥarram 1448. Alḥamdulillāh. 🙇🥰🙇
اللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْ قُلُوبَنَا عَلَى الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى، وَاهْدِنَا لِمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَى، وَارْحَمْ ضَعْفَنَا وَقِلَّةَ حِيلَتِنَا، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا يَا غَفُورُ يَا كَرِيمُ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هٰذِهِ السَّنَةِ الْجَدِيدَةِ: يُمْنَهَا وَيُسْرَهَا، وَأَمْنَهَا وَسَلَامَتَهَا، وَنُورَهَا وَبَرَكَاتِهَا وَهُدَاهَا، وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ يَا اللَّهُ مِنْ شُرُورِهَا وَصُدُودِهَا وَعُسْرِهَا وَخَوْفِهَا وَهَلَاكِهَا.
O Allāh, keep our hearts steadfast upon guidance and piety, guide us to that which You love and are pleased with, have mercy upon our weakness and our limited ability, and forgive us, O Most Forgiving, O Most Generous.
O Allāh, we ask You for the goodness of this new year: its blessings and ease, its security and safety, its light, blessings, and guidance. And we seek refuge in You, O Allāh, from its evils, its obstacles, its hardships, its fears, and its destruction.
Beloved brethren, happy New Islamic Year. Let us strive to purify our hearts and free them from anger, hatred, enmity, and envy toward our family and friends. We should be humane and compassionate, and endeavour to be exemplary members of society.
Let us sincerely forgive those who have wronged us, just as we hope that Allāh will forgive our shortcomings.
I beseech Allāh to ease our affairs and allay our fears. Āmīn.
