There’s a king in the Bible whose heart God called completely faithful. Then the text spends a whole chapter on everything he got wrong.

King Asa spent 35 years purging every idol in his kingdom. Then he bribed a pagan king instead of praying when trouble came. Got a serious illness and called his doctors before he called God. Got confronted by a prophet and resisted the correction instead of taking it.

And scripture still says his heart remained completely faithful his whole life.

Here’s the word study that changed how I read that. “Completely faithful” is translated from the Hebrew word “shalem”. It doesn’t mean sinless. It means *undivided*. Asa wasn’t flawless. He just never stopped turning back to the same God, even in the middle of blowing it.

If you’re carrying guilt this week because you didn’t measure up, that’s not the bar. You were never asked to string together perfect days. You were asked to stay undivided. To keep coming back to the same God, even after the bad week, even after the thing you’re ashamed of.

Yesterday doesn’t disqualify you from today.

This is what 10 years of prayer and patience looks like. Bastian and friends have been praying for his wife, Jenika, for quite some time.

The seed was planted, and God let it grow in His time. Through marriage, kids, moving, different jobs, family and close friendships, He has given the word in Jenika‘s heart what it needs for her to come to this decision.

Welcome to the Kingdom, sis! 🤍

Can I get an “Amen”? Happiness was never meant to carry the weight of your soul.

And just like that, the summer comes to an end. 🤍

What a joy it has been to have this team serve, learn, create, and grow alongside us.

Thank you to each intern for bringing your gifts, energy, creativity, and heart to everything you did. Your willingness to serve and love the Church has been such an encouragement.

We’re so grateful for the friendships formed, the memories made, the lessons learned, and the ways God has worked through this season.

The internship may be ending, but we believe God is only getting started. 🙏

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” Colossians 3:23

Thank you for an unforgettable summer. ❤️

Faith isn’t the absence of questions. It’s knowing where to bring them.

“Faith does not eliminate questions. But faith knows where to take them.” – Elisabeth Elliot

Send this to someone wrestling with something right now. They don’t need answers today, just company.

Matthew 5:9 was the goal. 😭

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Nothing that was edited could really convey the atmosphere of the outdoor worship concert this past Saturday.

So we decided to keep it simple: candid moments, natural sounds, beloved ones, and God showing off his majesty with the beautiful sunset light in His house. 🔥🌅
