This retreat begins with a deep relaxation through breath and body awareness, creating a foundation of steadiness. Led by Tatiana Saliba, mindfulness practitioner and facilitator, we gently explore the patterns that shape how we respond to life. You will leave with practical tools for staying present and responding with greater clarity and compassion. Bring a yoga mat or meditation cushion, if you wish.

Retreat format: In-person

Date: May 15 – 17, 2026

Registration Fee: Total is $260 with a deposit of $60

Registration Deadline: May 8, 2026

Led by: Tatiana Saliba, who creates grounded spaces where thoughtful adults can see themselves clearly and kindly. Her approach combines foundational mindfulness practice with honest self-inquiry, supporting participants in reclaiming inner steadiness and engaging life with clarity and responsibility.

Join Sr. Connie in the newly renovated Guest House for a weekend of spiritual growth inspired by monastic traditions. Retreat sessions include the opportunity to embrace your artistic spirit and craft your own rule. Materials will be provided. Guests are encouraged to bring photographs, pictures, and other crafting material to meaningfully personalize their Rules.

Are you a people-person who loves what we do? The SSJD needs you! We are looking for volunteers to help on the convent's reception desk!

Duties include answering phones, transferring calls, and taking messages; answering the front door; receiving deliveries; liasing with guests and the Guest House; and sharing the SSJD's spirit of service and hospitality. Volunteers are invited to join the sisters for services and silent meal times.

Come and experience the peace of our new Guest House during the last days of Holy Week and Easter Day, as we ponder the events of Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection. We will consider Jesus’s companionship through our own experiences of death and resurrection. These days will lead us into the centre and wellspring of who we are leading us into the joy of Resurrection Day. Take your time – do not rush. God longs to keep company with you.
