Reminder: Holiday Club 2026: Wonderland 🎩✨

Looking for something fun, safe, and meaningful for the kids this winter holiday? Holiday Club is coming up soon, and we’d love your children to join us!

This year’s Wonderland theme is all about curiosity and big questions, helping kids explore faith through Bible lessons, dancing, sport, crafts, and loads of laughter.

⏰ Daily schedule:
• Drop-off from 07:00
• Programme runs 08:00 – 13:00
• Pick-up at 13:00

🍞 Kids receive a jam sandwich and juice/water at snack time (extra snacks welcome).

Spots are filling up, so don’t leave it too late. Invite a friend, bring a sibling, and let your kids enjoy a week they’ll remember 🤍

Around the Fire, next Saturday 🔥

This Father's Weekend, we're inviting all men to join us around the fire.

While we celebrate fathers, this gathering is for every man, young and old, fathers and sons, students and retirees, whether you've been at Eastside for years or are joining us for the first time.

We'll share a meal together, enjoy good conversation, and hear an encouraging message from Dino Cicatello on what it means to be the man God has called you to be.

Bring your own meat and refreshments. We'll provide the fires and the space to connect.

This Sunday, our youth are taking over! 😎

As we celebrate Youth Month, the next generation will be stepping up to help host our Sunday service, from the welcome and announcements to serving on stage throughout the morning.

We love seeing young people grow in confidence, discover their gifts, and take ownership of their place in the life of the church. 🙌

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate and champion the incredible young people in our community. We can't wait to see what God does through them!

Next Steps Graduation 🎓

On Sunday, we celebrated 12 people who completed our 4-week Next Steps Course!

Over the past month, they have spent time learning more about the Eastside community, discovering their purpose, growing spiritually, and exploring where God may be calling them to serve and belong.

The journey concluded with a special graduation, certificate ceremony, and lunch as we celebrated all that God has been doing in and through this group. 🤍

Next Steps is more than a course. It's an opportunity to ask questions, build relationships, and take intentional steps forward in your faith journey.

Congratulations to each graduate! We are excited to see how God continues to lead, grow, and use you as part of the Eastside family. 🌱✨

Moving forward with our values series, today we are talking about Stewarding Resources.

This is all about managing and multiplying what God has put in our hands to help extend His Kingdom. It is not just about the budget. It is about our time and our talents. We see ourselves as caretakers, taking what we have been given and using it to make a real difference. 🤲

When we use our resources wisely, we open up so many doors to bless our community and grow the mission God has given us. ✨

Last Sunday, we had the privilege of celebrating Mbali's baptism. 🤍

As we prepared for this special moment, one word came to mind: Steadfast.

Steadfast means being firmly fixed, loyal, and unwavering in one's beliefs or determination. It describes someone or something that stays the same for a long time and does not change quickly, even when facing obstacles or pressure.

We shared two scriptures with Mbali.

The first comes from Deuteronomy 7:9: "Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands."

The second scripture comes from 1 Corinthians 15:58: "So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless."

God's love is steadfast and unchanging. His faithfulness never wavers, and His promises endure. And He calls for us to be steadfast in our walk with Him.

Congratulations, Mbali. We are celebrating with you and trusting God for all that lies ahead. ✨

Liana Da Cruz Dedication 🤍

We celebrated the dedication of Liana, a little miracle, last Sunday. After a normal pregnancy, she entered the world under serious and stressful circumstances, yet God protected and spared her. Today, she is a healthy, joyful little girl.

Her name means "my God has answered," and a nurse in the paediatric ICU shared that in isiZulu, her name means "raining blessings", which is a beautiful reflection of what she has already been to her family.

As we prayed for Liana, this scripture came to mind: "For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty saviour. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."

Our prayer is that Liana would know God's love and delight from a young age. That she would walk confidently in His care, free from fear, and that the joy God has placed within her would draw others to Him. May her life be a song that reflects His goodness, love, and light.

Congratulations to Candice, Sergio, and the entire Da Cruz family. We are so grateful to celebrate this special day with you. ✨
