Liana Da Cruz Dedication 🤍

We celebrated the dedication of Liana, a little miracle, last Sunday. After a normal pregnancy, she entered the world under serious and stressful circumstances, yet God protected and spared her. Today, she is a healthy, joyful little girl.

Her name means "my God has answered," and a nurse in the paediatric ICU shared that in isiZulu, her name means "raining blessings", which is a beautiful reflection of what she has already been to her family.

As we prayed for Liana, this scripture came to mind: "For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty saviour. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."

Our prayer is that Liana would know God's love and delight from a young age. That she would walk confidently in His care, free from fear, and that the joy God has placed within her would draw others to Him. May her life be a song that reflects His goodness, love, and light.

Congratulations to Candice, Sergio, and the entire Da Cruz family. We are so grateful to celebrate this special day with you. ✨

Callum Lee Schoeman Dedication 🤍

Last Sunday, we had the privilege of dedicating Callum to the Lord.

Callum has been deeply loved from the very beginning and was long-awaited by his family. His name means "peace," yet from the moment he was born, he has shown remarkable strength.

As we prayed for Callum, we felt the Lord give us the scripture from Isaiah 40:29-31: "He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless... But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles..."

Our prayer is that Callum will know God deeply, learning to trust Him in every season and drawing his strength from Him. We pray that the strength he was born with would become a spiritual strength, one that stands up for the weak, points others to Jesus, and shines brightly as a light for Him.

Congratulations to Bjorn, Megan, and the entire Schoeman family on this special milestone. We are honoured to celebrate with you and look forward to seeing God's hand on Callum's life in the years ahead. ✨

Life can sometimes feel like a maze, full of twists, turns, and moments where we just do not know which way to go. But here is the incredible truth: we do not have to navigate it alone! 🤍

Proverbs 3:5-6 gives us such a beautiful roadmap for life. This isn't just a verse for big, life-altering decisions; it is an invitation to walk hand-in-hand with God in every single part of our day. It is about trusting Him with the small things, the tricky moments, and even the "I do not know what to do next" situations. 🤝

And guess what? This applies to our children too! Teaching them early to trust God with their friendships, their schoolwork, and their worries helps them build a foundation of faith that fits into their everyday lives. He is not just a distant God; He is a close friend and a steady guide for all ages. 🙏

When we choose to lean on Him and include Him in "all our ways," we free ourselves from the pressure of having to figure it all out. He promises to make our paths clear and straight, leading us exactly where we need to go. 🙌

Holiday Club 2026: Wonderland 🎩✨

This holiday, we’re inviting kids to a week of wonder, questions, fun, and faith!

🗓 29 June – 3 July
👧🧒 Grades R – 7
💰 Free of charge

This year’s theme is Wonderland, a space where kids are encouraged to ask big questions about Christianity, like:
• Who is God?
• Why did He make me?
• Why do bad things happen?
• Who is Jesus?
• Who is the Holy Spirit?

Each day will include:
📖 A Bible lesson
💃 Dancing
⚽ Sport & games
🎨 Crafts
…and LOTS of fun!

⏰ Programme times:
• Drop-off from 07:00
• Programme runs 08:00 – 13:00
• Pick-up at 13:00

🍞 Snacks:
Kids will receive a jam sandwich and juice/water at snack time. Parents are welcome to pack extra snacks if they’d like.

Holiday Club is a safe, joyful space for kids to learn, play, ask questions, and make friends, and we’d love for your child to be part of it 🤍

Meet the Team: Dr Stephanie Brown ✨

Dr Stephanie Brown serves as the Director of Abba’s Pride, with a background in counselling and psychology.

She first came to serve with Abba’s Pride at the end of 2017, before returning to the United States in 2018 to raise support so she could join the team full-time.

Today, her role involves leading and overseeing the ministry - from team meetings and planning to supporting ministry areas, partnering with pastors, helping with special events, and overseeing finances and operations. She describes part of her role as “cheerleading the team,” which says a lot about the heart she carries for those around her.

Outside of ministry, Stephanie is preparing to welcome her second baby in just a few weeks 👶 She also loves reading whenever she gets the chance.

📖 One of her favourite Scriptures is:

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…” Isaiah 61:1

Stephanie has followed Jesus since childhood and has sought to walk closely with Him throughout her life.

🎓 Fun fact: She has a PhD in International Psychology!

We had an incredible time launching Holiday Club on Sunday! 🎉✨

And this is only the beginning…

This June/July holidays, kids and teens are invited to an unforgettable week packed with fun, faith, friendship, and Wonder as we explore some of the big questions of our faith together. Expect games, dancing, crafts, sport, worship, laughter, and powerful truth from Scripture!

If launch day was anything to go by, we know God has even more in store for the week ahead — and we cannot wait!
