A Little Warmth, A Lot of Love ❤️

VUKA UPDATE | TEAM HAT 🧢

A special thank you to one of our wonderful church ladies who lovingly knitted warm hats for the children of Stockville. ❤️

Something as simple as a handmade hat can bring so much warmth, joy and dignity. And those beautiful smiles reminded us once again that every act of kindness makes a difference.

Thank you for using your gifts to bless others. This is what VUKA is all about: seeing a need, responding with love, and serving our community.

I have been missing in action for awhile so apologies for lack of photos from our services and Vuka updates.

We celebrated a number of birthdays including a happy 90th to Jack.

Last Sunday's sermon was by David Broodryk and entitled Stepping into Purpose and started with an eerie tale of 3 old women. Hope this makes you listen to the audio if you were not in church!

The worship team led us in a beautiful time of worship and Ken re-emerged from retirement on the guitar and vocals.

The service ended with is breaking bread and followed by fellowship and love.

VUKA Ministry Outreach Update | 30 July 2026

Last week our VUKA Ministry team visited Ugogo Ndlovu (70) and Mkhulu Ngcobo (78) in Stockville.

For the past 10 years they have been caring for a household of seven on their government pensions, including their granddaughter, Fikile, and her three young children. Mkhulu is also visually impaired.

We spent some time with the family, listening to their story, praying together, and reminding them that they are not alone. We were also able to take them a food parcel and some warm knitted hats for the children.

Please keep this family in your prayers. Pray for God's provision, for strength and healing, and that they would continue to know His love and hope each day.

Thank you to everyone who supports VUKA Ministry. Your generosity and prayers help us reach families in our community with the love of Jesus.

This winter, we're inviting our church family to help keep someone warm by knitting or crocheting a beanie for members of our local community.

Whether you're an experienced knitter or just starting out, every beanie is a gift of love, kindness, and hope. Together, we can make a real difference—one stitch at a time.

🧢 Drop off your completed beanies at the church office or bring them along on a Sunday.
