YOUR DESCENDANTS ARE MIGHTY ON THIS EARTH

“His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭112:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Notice what God’s Word says about our children and even our grandchildren etc. It says that when WE walk in the fear of the Lord, which is the previous verse in Ps 112, that THEY will be mighty, strong, valiant, and even powerful, on this earth, and they too will be blessed (empowered to prosper).

Proverbs 13:22 says that a good man leaves an inheritance even to his grandchildren. What a great legacy to leave them when we choose, even daily, to walk in the fear of God.

Don’t say, what you might be observing in the natural, about your children. They might be way off course at this stage, but rather say what God’s Word says. That is the real truth worth saying, believing, and therefore seeing come to pass, even if it seems impossible.

Release your faith:

“I choose the fear of the Lord. My descendants (name them where possible) are indeed blessed and mighty on this earth, in Jesus name”.AMEN🙏🙏

BLESSED WHEN YOU HAVE THIS FEAR

“Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭112:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The word ‘blessed’ means to have the power or ability to prosper. God desires for us to prosper in all things, 3 John 2, and much of that comes, because again, we walk in the fear of God.

Walking in the fear of God is so vitally important to experiencing all that God has for us. It was the hallmark of the early church in Acts 9:31 and there was great increase as a result of it. It was the hallmark of the life of Jesus (remember Isaiah 11:3) and throughout His ministry, where there was the great manifestation of glory and goodness and increase.

Take time to meditate on these scriptures and together with yesterday’s faith declaration make this faith declaration: “I am blessed because I fear the Lord and delight greatly in His commands”.

Now take the time to ponder what you are saying and believe that it is so. Give thanks too for all that God is doing in your life as a result of you choosing the fear of the Lord and walking in it.🙏

BENEFITS OF FEARING GOD

“The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Consider the above verse very carefully and then consider how valuable having the fear of God is, especially in this world.

The fear of the Lord brings life, it keeps you from evil, it allows you to abide in satisfaction. That should be enough for us to pursue, delight in and be zealous for the fear of the Lord, all the days of our lives.

However, there are also so many more benefits when walking in the fear of the Lord, which we will unpack over the next few days.

Remember, fearing God is about walking in His ways, and doing His will. It’s about honouring the Lord Jesus above all, having great respect for and being in awe of Him all the day and in every way.

It’s really the best way for us to live. God designed it that way and that is why it works.

Make a fresh decision today, and even everyday, to walk in the fear of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Frame your world:

“Today, I choose the fear of the Lord afresh. My delight is in the fear of the Lord and I am zealous for, and devoted to, the fear of the Lord all the days of my life. I have life, I abide in satisfaction and I’m not visited with evil, because I fear the Lord, in Jesus name. Amen”. 🙏🙏

HATRED FOR SIN AND EVIL?

“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭8:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This verse says that to fear the Lord is to hate sin and all that is actually evil. Many Christians, sadly, do not hate sin enough, but neither do they hate evil things like sickness, poverty, depression and even the fear that comes from the devil. They tolerate it, put up with it, manage it, work through it etc etc. They might sense that it is wrong and dislike it, but they haven’t made a decision to hate it. They even say things like this; “The Good Lord knows my heart.” “I know I shouldn’t really be saying this, or listening to that, or watching this, but it’s not that bad, and besides at least I haven’t killed anyone.”

Today, and even everyday, make a decision to walk in the fear of the Lord and hate sin, evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way and even perverse language out of your mouth. Choose again today the fear of the Lord and enjoy the benefits that come with it.

Declaration of faith:

“I choose, and therefore walk in the fear of the Lord today. I hate all evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way and even a perverse mouth, in Jesus name.”

ZEALOUS FOR THE FEAR OF GOD

“Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be *zealous* for the fear of the Lord all the day;”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The word ‘zealous’ means to be eager, enthusiastic, have a lot of time and energy for, to be devoted to, and be absolutely committed.

This verse says that we are to have this attitude and these actions towards the fear of God, ALL THE DAY. In other words fearing God is a full time lifestyle. Now again, to F.E.A.R God is not to be afraid of Him, but to be F aithful to, or F ollow Him in E very A rea and R ealm of life. It is to be in absolute awe and reverence of Him and to be absolutely obedient to His Word and Ways, and to be zealous about it.

This is how God designed for us to live. This was supposed to be normal for us, just like it was with Jesus when He’s was on this earth. The church sadly, has lost much its zeal regarding the fear of the Lord and that’s why this must become our new normal again. It’s truly the way to experience God’s best all the day.

Add your heart to this prayer:

“Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, please cause me, and even Your church, to be zealous for the fear of the Lord. May this truly be our daily bread. It is with great thanksgiving that I believe and I receive now- Amen.”🙏
