ALL MY WORDS

Over the last few days we have spoken about living by our words, and specifically by God’s Words.

Everything around us, if you really think about it, is the product of words. God established the universe through words, and Genesis 1 reveals that, but even the device that you are receiving this message on, was established through conversations and communications first. Ideas that were spoken out and conversed about, were a huge part of the creation of devices and buildings and cars and…….

Marriage takes place with right words, and sadly divorce happens through words too, wrong words.

That is why God reveals to us to speak right words. Words that bring life, hope, care, love, kindness, peace, faith etc etc. ALL our words are to be right or with ‘rightness’.

Repent of speaking wrong words, words of gossip, slander, lies, complainings, negativity, murmurings, criticisms, death etc etc and receive God’s forgiveness where necessary. Apologise to spouses, children, colleagues also, where applicable, and ask God to help you speak words that are right- ALL of them. We are not going to it get right overnight, but let’s keep going and it will become easier. Please, let’s do this, seriously let’s do it.🙏🙏

YOUR WORDS, YOUR WORDS, YOUR WORDS!!!!

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth.” Joshua 1:8

Have you ever been frustrated with
yourself...because of what you hear coming out of your mouth? Jesus said that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). If you’re focusing most of your attention on natural things—watching news events and movies, thinking about worldly matters, worrying about your job and family, other people- then that’s what you’re going to talk about.

What you need to do is refocus your attention. Turn your attention toward God’s Word and keep it there.

In everyday terms, Joshua 1:8 says, “Talk the Word.”

When I say talk the Word, I don’t mean just every now and then when you’re feeling spiritual. I mean continually. In Deuteronomy 6:7 (NIV)God said you should talk His Word, “when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

That’s pretty much all the time, isn’t it? At home, at work, in the supermarket, wherever you are, keep the Word of God in your mouth.

Romans 10:17 tells us that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” So when you’re continually talking about what God says, what He’ll do, and what His promises are, you’re going to be growing in faith because you’re hearing the Word from yourself all the time.

Isn’t that exciting? You can change what you’re hearing. So fill your heart with an abundance of the Word. Then listen as your mouth gets in line with what God says about you and your circumstances and enjoy the outcomes (what comes out).

For everyone who has given so faithfully, so generously, and even so sacrificially, even over the years, to South Point Church, from myself and Debbie, and those who help lead our church, we just want to say a BIG thank you once again. I know that you do it for, and in obedience to God, but it is also important that we say thank you too.

Your generosity has been so remarkable and so appreciated and we stand in agreement with you, that as you have sown, God multiplies that seed and brings great increase to you and even your children, as a result of your faithful giving (Psalm 115:14)

WE TRULY GROW AND LIVE BY HIS WORDS

“But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

WORDS ARE VERY, VERY POWERFUL AND GOD’S WORDS, EVEN MORE SO!

We are spiritual beings, made in God’s image, we have a soul (mind, intellect and emotions) and we live in a body.(1 Thess 5:23) Each of these three require food to live and to be strengthened by. Eat junk food continually, and we all know the outcome.

To feed our spirit, we need God’s Word and so ‘when we read, we feed’. God has given us His Word to grow by and to live by. I’m not just talking about knowing God’s Word so that you can know what to do in life. I’m talking about living off His Word. When we take time to get His Word in us, so that it becomes part of us, that’s where the nourishment and strength comes.

When we get fruit and vegetables from the plate into our bodies and then they are absorbed by our bodies, that’s when sustenance, strength and nourishment comes. So too, when we get God’s Word off the pages into our spirits, the above happens.

Today and everyday, feed off God’s Word. Get to know scripture intimately and accurately. Meditate on His Word, until it gets absorbed and becomes part of you. That is where the power and energy come from. It’s the way man is designed to truly grow and live.
