Sitting here this morning, my thoughts drift to the status of the church today. It has become a place of entertainment, people expect some kind of show. Pastors are expected to be showmen.

And then there is the presence of God. When the Holy Spirit begins to move, people become afraid and uncomfortable, yet He is the very one whom Jesus sent to teach, comfort and counsel us. I believe that we need to invite Him back into our churches, then we will see change.

We are changing from church to Fellowship. Watch this space. Over the years, the Holy Spirit has been severely compromised, yet He is such an essential part. The church in general, has lost its focus. I have undertaken not allow myself to entertain, but rather to be a facilitator for that which the Holy Spirit has on His agenda. So if He offend you, you will be extremely incomfortable at our services. No compromise.

What is happening in todays church. Services are becoming more and more like a "Rave" party. Flashing lights and all. Preachers are becoming showmen, lot's of praise and no intimate worship. Yet people are drawn by all this? Are we too afraid of getting really close and personal with the Lord? Is this the new freedom? Thought I'd pop in and visit another church, left feeling really empty and sad, wondering what the Lord thought. Since when do we have to entertain people, instead of seeing them filled and empowered. Come Holy Spirit, I long for your presence!
