In this lesson, we’ll dive into how unresolved disappointments can shape our future. When we don’t process the pain from past letdowns, it can create a fear of future disappointments.

Our brain treats emotional pain similarly to physical pain, making us instinctively avoid it as a survival mechanism. This fear can lead us to adopt unhealthy coping strategies, like lowering our expectations or even sabotaging our own success.

But living in fear, instead of embracing life, prevents us from reaching our full potential. It's time to stop letting fear control our story and start walking toward purpose, peace, and fulfillment.

Unprocessed disappointment leaves uncomfortable, painful voids in our lives. These voids may not appear in our conscious awareness, but will eventually become known. Destructive coping behaviors and unproductive negative thoughts can arise to cope with the pain and discomfort created by unresolved disappointment.

Join us Thursday at 6 p.m. as we identify our disappointments and invite God into those voids so we can walk toward Purpose, Peace, and Fulfillment.
