Not every "no" is a setback.

In Acts 16, Paul had a plan to take the gospel into Asia. Twice, the Holy Spirit said no. That unexpected detour led him to Lydia, whose open heart, open home, and open hands became part of the foundation of a thriving church.

What looked like a closed door was actually God leading Paul somewhere he never would have chosen on his own.

Most of us want a clear path. But sometimes God's direction shows up as a redirection. The "no" you're facing today may be the very thing He's using to lead you where He wants you next.

He serves on our Security & Parking Team and is one of those steady, friendly people who helps create such a welcoming environment here each week.

Most of us treat prayer like we’re the ones generating the current.

Like if we just push hard enough, long enough, maybe something will finally start moving.

But Hebrews 7:25 says Jesus always lives to intercede for you. Which means when you show up to pray, you’re not starting something new. You’re joining something already in motion.

The current’s already moving. All you have to do is get in the water.

There are 8.5 billion people on this planet. Every single one carries the image of God.

Even the overlooked. Even the forgotten. Even the people the world has learned to move past too quickly.

What would change if we actually believed that? Not just as theology — but as something that shaped the way we move through our neighborhoods, our workplaces, our everyday lives.

How can I bring heaven to earth?

Grief and gratitude exist together today.

Today, we pause to remember the people who gave their lives in service to others — people who left behind families, futures, and ordinary moments so others could live in peace and safety.

And for the families who carry that loss every day, we’re grateful for you today as well.
